Brandon Ellis is such a soft campaigner. Great to hear Derm give him a little roast on commentary

Tigers
Sick Poison GIF by It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

The Tigers gave up a lot to have one more crack. Reminds me of another team that will respectfully go unnamed cough*WestCoastEagles*coughcough
Feels way more Hawks than Eagles. Lots of parallels.

Eagles seems more hubris starting with their attitude in the hub.

100% the eagles went into 2022 and this year with the attitude they could “surprise everyone” and maybe punch a finals spot. They are totally delusional. Now the excuse is injuries which “couldn’t be planned for” inspite of them having nearly a dozen injury prone players on their list lol

It's funny hearing this constant reference to the Harley Cup. I'm pretty sure the last time the footy world was on about this stuff it was the Bryce Gibbs Cup and then the Kruezer Cup.

And weren't those two generational talents who bought sustained success to their team! Totally worth torpedoing your culture for.

Honestly wce are in such a deep hole they would need to split the pick anyway

Yeah one player isn’t going to do it for them. They’ve got two players who look capable (Oscar Allen and Ginbey) and very little else. At least three years before they’re competitive again.

Allen is going to be a great player with a prime that will most likely go completely to waste. They'd have to draft and trade likes gods to be competitive before he turns 30 given the state of their list.
Yeah he’s a good player, but at 24 there’s not a lot more upside to how good he is now, and they still have to find a lot to build around him. They’re in for a bleak few years.

3 goals per game in that team is a fair effort.
Yep.
I was skeptical of how’d he go as the #1 forward sans JJK.

He’s done more than enough to change that. Absolute star.
