Yeah that says something doesn’t it. Lack of forward talentI don't recall us EVER having a good percentage over the past 29 seasons.

and to think essendon made finals with 11 wins two seasons agoYeah I didn't realise how ****ed our percentage is. Got us 11 wins and 15th, what a joke of a season.
Right? Look at Adelaide, 1 more win but 27 percent higher then us.Yeah that says something doesn’t it. Lack of forward talent
Carlton are also unlikely to lose for the rest of the year. Which still makes zero sense to me. No way they just clicked into place like that after 7 weeks of the worst footy I've seen all year. At least with GWS they got their two most influential players in Greene and Taylor back that coincided with their recent form. Carlton are dodgy. It looks better if both us and GWS win our remaining games...

It would actually be that hilarious I would almost entertain the idea .The Bin Chickens can't afford to beat us in the derby now. Would lose their precious looming two year romance with Harley Reid.
Imagine getting pick 4 when you've had an 11 win season. Madness. If we win all our remaining games + the other games go the way of the favourites:

Need a few upsets...
Even allowing for the fact that Touk may have squirrel gripped him and caused him massive discomfort, Zorko is still leading the douche stakes by the length of the Flemington straight.Zorko not happy that Touk grabbed his balls;
“It’s interesting, you’re allowed to grab the groin region now and squeeze it and do whatever you want to it,” Zorko said on SENQ Breakfast.
“So that’s an interesting rule that’s been cleared by the AFL.

Sad he goes out while injured but a helluva career. Go well Bud.BYE BYE, BUDDY: Lance Franklin ends his glorious career

Legend, it's going to take a long time for another 1000 goal forward to appear in the AFL. Amiss only has 37 so far.BYE BYE, BUDDY: Lance Franklin ends his glorious career

Long time, if ever. The only way it happens currently is with better career longevity and somehow playing till 40. The game has changed too muchLegend, it's going to take a long time for another 1000 goal forward to appear in the AFL. Amiss only has 37 so far.

Do you mean, towelling up our captain? That's such a shitty way for an all time great to go out =(
Buddy was no Mitch Crowden, but he was handy.
Reckon Pav would have got 1000+ if he was a permanent forward.Amiss will kick more goals than Pav.
You couldn't trade future picks so unless you were giving them a good player it was pretty much impossible to trade up at the time.Random question but I’m curious to know…
Back in 2004 when Buddy was lighting it up in the u18s, were we ever in the running to draft him?
I don’t think we were particularly strong at that stage - he went at pick 5 and we would have had pick 7 or 8 I assume?
A player of that quality from WA - surely we were trying to trade up for him, no?
