9 years and 191 consecutive game streak up in smoke. I had to confirm he was 29 and not some 16 year old chatting up the Year 7's.
Has to be a first. Broken not due to injury or suspension. Think should get an asterisk and allow to keep the successive alive.

Actually think he should play and this to blow away. Favourite player outside of Fremantle. Such a gun

It was at its worst during Ross’s first stint at the Saints. Dal Santo’s peen, Reiwordt’s manicured peen. Although neither as bad as Crisp apparently having a few strokes on camera. The messaging stuff can end careers though: Patton and Bootsma to name two.

I find the wage war between AFL and cricket interesting. The women are so far ahead in cricket I'm not sure when if ever that they'll be able to catch up in AFLW. The top earners getting over 800k for womens cricket is fantastic.

For men, you now can earn a really good wage (like 600k+) being a good state cricketer if you're also good at t20. You can basically double that if you can get into the IPL.

The top mens cricketer would already be over 2m when everything is put together - Cam Green certainly made the right choice while it will probably be a long time before AFL men get close to that. I suppose this is all offset with the shear number of players in the AFL meaning you are more likely to earn a wage as a professional sportsperson choosing AFL but if you're one of the best, cricket will earn you more. Cricket careers are also longer which makes a big diff

Bootsma wasn't helped by the fact that he was utter shit.

The answer is simple. Have India become mad about AFL football.

What's there excuse.

These players get more education when it comes to social media and how to use/deal with it when they enter the AFL system then other people at the same age especially at 18.

You have to be completely dumb to incriminate yourself by posting shit on snapchat or whatever platform it is if you have a public profile.

Some will just never learn and not realise how lucky they actually have it.

With the WPL in India the gap is only going to widen.
Besides career length, the concussion/CTE risk of having life long effects is a lot lower as well

Neither got suspended though from memory?

Honestly don’t think think Crisp should be suspended tonight. But the media loves to snipe the players.

As much as people love AFL in Australia, there's absolutely no scope to go from a low contract to having financial pay days. It's limited in being only a domestic competition. It's limited by the salary cap and lack of sponsorship support.
Educating kids to train and excel in international in benefittal, IMO, then struggling and competing in a 20 team (in the future) competition.
Women's Soccer is gaining traction in both financial and popularity. The World Cup later this year will be a boon for the game here in Australia. AFLW are on a thin edge tbh.
