Nah. They're losing for the exact reason many people thought they would, they have no ruck and are getting beaten at the contest

The fact that you can butcher it and still win doesn't mean I have to like it or that its a good thing. Imagine how much better they'd be going if they hadn't blown the equivalent of 3 first rounders and $2M+ of salary cap space.

It is only Half time let’s not get too carried away here. This Collingwood side will likely have a good spell in the second half, brisbane are very hard to beat up in the Gabba anyway. Even if they lose tonight I still have them well ahead of Brissy when the whips are cracking in September.
It’s a credit to the coach as on paper it’s a team full of role players and later round draft picks with the exception of about 4 guys, one of whom is 35 years old.

Are the only three players in the pies 22 taken with top 10 picks by the club themselves. I think quaynor was taken with pick 14 and that’s all they drafted in the top 20 with their own picks on the field tonight in the last 15 years.
They have mastered the late rounds better than nearly every club in the league recently.

Confidence and reckless are not too far apart. They're playing the same style with less energy and right now it's not working.

Collingwood have been impressive. My point has nothing to do with their success or failure, only that it's gotten a little sycophantic over just three early season games.

They may not be quite as good, and we may not be quite as bad as has been made out over the last few pages of this thread.

There is also a reason they were lucky to finish 4th last year, they couldn't perform at 100% consistently and even **** sides will punish this style if the players don't put in.

You clearly don’t rate them but they beat us easily twice last year and look to be at least as good this year. Not sure where that leaves us, but it’s not something I’m happy with after a six-year rebuild.
