Looked pretty shell shocked in that quarter to me!You don't think they play with extreme confidence?
It's not brave to have exclusively hindsight takes my friend.Looked pretty shell shocked in that quarter to me!
Nah. They're losing for the exact reason many people thought they would, they have no ruck and are getting beaten at the contestLooked pretty shell shocked in that quarter to me!
Only if Banfield plays. In here looking for comments such as:
"We can beat both Brisbane and Collingwood easily"
"They're not actually that good"
IMO at least, they were a distant 3rd best team (at best) that year behind the Tigers and Eagles. Kudos to them for stopping the 4peat and then butchering the GF.Stay off the kool-aid. Being the MCG tenant didn't help them in 2018 or 2011.
The fact that you can butcher it and still win doesn't mean I have to like it or that its a good thing. Imagine how much better they'd be going if they hadn't blown the equivalent of 3 first rounders and $2M+ of salary cap space. This is exactly why you shouldn’t lose hope my friend that we have a rubbish draft hand this year.
The best side in the league is lining up with a forward line as follows having finished 17th in 2021:
Mihocek - rookie draft 2018
Ash Johnson - mid season rookie draft 2022
Mcstay - free agent 2022
Bobby hill - 3rd round pick in a trade in 2022
Hoskin Elliott - future second round pick
Jamie Elliott - pick 25 in 2011 draft via a trade with GWS
Reef mcinnes - pick 23 in 2020 draft
Beau Mccreery - pick 44 in 2020 draft as a mature ager
It is only Half time let’s not get too carried away here. This Collingwood side will likely have a good spell in the second half, brisbane are very hard to beat up in the Gabba anyway. Even if they lose tonight I still have them well ahead of Brissy when the whips are cracking in September. This thread is funny as, so much sucking up to McRae only for the pies to concede six to none. Shows you how quickly things can change.
Yeah it's just one quarter, but * this thread sums up the absolute ridiculousness of the last few weeks and supporters inability to roll with the to and fro of AFL footy.
What are you all going to be saying if the pies fall off like Carlton last year? Will McRae still be the messiah?
So many loving the overreaction.
Confidence and reckless are not too far apart. They're playing the same style with less energy and right now it's not working.Nah. They're losing for the exact reason many people thought they would, they have no ruck and are getting beaten at the contest
Maybe we should get better at taking advantage of our ruck dominance against teams
Looks like they're on a road to getting flogged to me.It is only Half time let’s not get too carried away here. It’s a credit to the coach as on paper it’s a team full of role players and later round draft picks with the exception of about 4 guys, one of whom is 35 years old.
Nick Daicos (4)
De Goey (5)
Moore (6)
Are the only three players in the pies 22 taken with top 10 picks by the club themselves. I think quaynor was taken with pick 14 and that’s all they drafted in the top 20 with their own picks on the field tonight in the last 15 years.
They have mastered the late rounds better than nearly every club in the league recently.
What a load of crap. We’re underdogs against Adelaide and not currently within 6 goals of either of these sides. But sure let’s console ourselves with the fact that Collingwood have had their first bad quarter of the year!
SaintsDoes this mean Carlton are premiership favourites now?
You clearly don’t rate them but they beat us easily twice last year and look to be at least as good this year. Not sure where that leaves us, but it’s not something I’m happy with after a six-year rebuild.Looks like they're on a road to getting flogged to me.
But yeah as per my last post, not pulling the pies down, taking aim at other posters, not the pie
You clearly haven't absorbed anything I said. Once again, pies are great, they're having a bad game, I'm talking about the overreacting both ways re. them and Freo. You clearly don’t rate them but they beat us easily twice last year and look to be at least as good this year. Not sure where that leaves us, but it’s not someth8ng I’m happy with after a six-year rebuild.
Imagine if we had a coach like theirs!Saints
Oh god no, never want to go through that shit again.Imagine if we had a coach like theirs!
