Looks like we will end up in 9th.
The crows finished 9th last year too and everyone said oh they will definitely play finals in 2024. Didn’t turn out that way.

Unacceptable to blow a finals position from where we sat. Just not good enough at all levels of the club.

What we’ve seen since our breakthrough finals campaign in 2022 has been garbage on and off field. Poor decisions, poor selections, safe conservatism. Anxiety driven performances led by an anxiety driven coach. No big club would accept two years of it.

The flashes of good footy we’ve seen only prove we should be doing much better.

We're literally a better team than we were in 2022, but it means **** all when no one can figure out how the **** to close out a game. This team is mentally weak and that's the biggest thing holding them back. Any time there's expectation, they crumble. Any time the game is on the line, they crumble.

Darling and Kelly are the least of their issues. Co- captains Duggan playing great for Carlton and is Oscar Allen even out there?

So that makes us a worse team then doesn't it?

We had more than enough results go our way throughout the season, to keep relying on them for the last two rounds was always a stretch.

We don’t deserve to play finals this year (neither do the Blues tbh but hey, they will end up with more wins so they deserve it more than us I guess)

In a whole half of a game both Darling and Oscar Allen have had two possessions each!

I think I've butchered the coach and team enough, one piece of empathy I have is for the insane fixturing bestowed upon Freo this year - and surely there would've been a win or two missing if we had something resembling fair.

We get a few key injuries and finish our season off against a few Top 4 sides.

Carlton have key injuries and get cellar dwellars West Coast and St Kilda with nothing to play for.

Bulldogs as well will beat GWS who will probably be locked into Top 4 by the start of their game and Top 2 will be out of reach.

He is a good defender but he has his limitations on who he can or is williing to play on. Which we could usually cover when we had Logue and/or Pearce available or even a Hamling when he was eventually given a go.

Why is everyone talking about it coming down to Carlton needing to lose to St Kilda? Bulldogs losing to GWS would also open the door unless I’m missing something?

Yes, same effect. Probably more likely too although I do expect the Saints to put up a fight.
