Giving hope to all us crusty old blokes who couldn't play.

Cheers, Fages. (Would've gone a shirt or at least a bomber or spray jacket myself, for the photos; the arms just get skinnier and the gut, she does grow.)
Well he did play 250 state league games in TFL and 9 rep games for Tasmania; not exactly PFL C5 Reserves was it.

We have just had the first premiership coach to have never played an AFL/VFL game in Chris Fagan as further proof that playing achievements aren't a necessity to be a good coach; it can work if he is up to it.

Yeah I was just projecting a little about the relationship between coach and player. Somewhere along the line if Reid is their best player they're going to make him captain, so there's a lot to play out there and just how it relates to the rest of the playing squad.

So after all the kerfuffle about wanting to come home to WA,it appears that Tim Kelly is going to be on the move again.
Not happy!! or been given a bit of a shove!
According the the media, his manager had a fleeting conversation wiith Fremantle. But that is all it was.. fleeting.

Those guys talk over each other too much , does my head in
The content is good though I agree

IMO the talking over each other comes from only having 2 minutes to spend on each team so everyone wants to get their point across- especially Xavier.

Bailey Smith nominates Geelong, hours before the bulldogs b&f, which he declined to attend.

Not sure who's more selfish, the overrated Smith or Oliver.

Never cared for Smith and have long said if he wasn't good looking, nobody would rate him that highly.

Bloody hell, Geelong are just going to keep on being good forever aren't they.
We'll be back to Geelong/Hawks GF's again soon. Its uncanny how those 2 teams can just magically rejuvenate while others like Saints/Bombers/Blues continually fail.

Going a bit early based on reputation. It could backfire spectacularly. Events this year showed they haven't quite removed the negative parts of what Stengel likes to get up to. Maybe it's a bit of hubris picking up all the bad boys and it will come back to hit them hard. Much to play out yet.

Bad boy thing is an aside, Smith and Oliver are both ball butchering mids, get plenty of it, but teams set up well behind the ball will benefit greatly from those two being in the cats engine room.

Mick Warner claimed a few years back on radio that there were definitely clubs rorting the salary cap.

Easy to guess a few he was referring to back then (he didn't mention club names).
