If my suspicion is right then the majority of people tuning in are the Subi supporters who just like backing a winner and will be loving it as their team does the business and they find out the names of some people in the team

Yes, really hard to be a Perth Demon supporter suffering for over 40 years and just coming off a high of beating WP for the first time in like 10 years last weekend only to then serve up the most uncompetitive outing in the WAFL in my life time of 50 years tonight.

The team that never has to rebuild and lots of stories always around of how they always seem to get around the salary cap somehow over the years.

Subi used to get a number of seats at subi oval for toast and Freo games. Gave them an unfair advantage over other wafl teams

Because they were making a shitload of money from their social rooms at Subiaco oval from every game played at the stadium. Whether it be AFL, international rules or whatever.
They would then attract the the best recruits with that money & have dominated the WAFL for years because of it. They are set up for a long time, whilst other clubs are battling week to week.(sound familiar?)
Plus their supporters are mostly West Coast supporters, which in itself should be enough to hate the campaigners.

I used to pay an annual fee to use the squash courts inside the oval (my office was next door). Gave me a Lions membership. Felt dirty as a South supporter. I would get a glossy magazine at the end of each year. Detailed their finances and it was ridiculous. They were better off than half the AFL clubs due to all the revenue from games at Subi Oval and relatively low costs for a WAFL operation. There's teams like Saints, Melbourne, North, etc. who could only dream of being in the financial position of Subiaco. Absolute farce how they are allowed to dominate the WAFL.
