That was fascinating watching the live ladder. With 4 minutes to go, Melbourne were in, then they weren't. Then Adelaide needed two. Watching it go up and down. As Huddo called it - you've never seen so much tension in a 29 point ball game.
Caps off and incredible season really. Been intriguing and enjoyable in so many ways.

That was great to watch. A bit weird watching when the margin was so considerable but oh so significant

One team really cared, one team was largely indifferent.

I think the surprise in finals this year will be the Weagles. I'm not sure how far they'll go but further than people think in my view. I get the Crows weren't motivated but they've git a strong list, a hard edge , and pretty much a free hit.
From what I can gather Nic Nats a chance and even short of a run he'll lift them if he plays. Probably will need cover though.
I'd actually like the Bombers to do well, I like their agressive run on game and it s time they were back, might just be a season early. Worsfold reminds me of Leon in 2015 a bit, seems to be working to a long term plan, regardless of results.

I appreciate that they are both a bit underrated, but do you believe that Weagles will beat Port or Essendon beat Sydney? Either would be a massive upset for mine - although I'm not saying that there's no chance of it happening (there's always a chance!).

I think the Weagles are a better side than Port. It depends on their mids getting parity but I think they can. They have way better bookends particularly in defence.
I would be happy for Essendon to win, not that I have anything against the Swans. As I indicated it's probably a year too early for them to win finals. They play the most attractive game in the comp to me though.

Hmm, unsure myself. Port are a bit up and down, although they finished higher I'd back us to beat them and probably think we might be better against them than Weagles (perhaps especially if NicNat gets back!). Not fussed if someone knocks off the Swans. On one hand, they're a good team & could run through to win the GF; on the other hand, I believe that GWS can knock them off. I'd back us against the Bombers, but you are correct that they are a well balanced team now that plays attractive footy.

Dusty re-signs with the Tiges?

Will that money go to Kelly?
Could Kelly realise life is better as a Giant?

What about the minimum cap spend if Kelly stays as well?

North in trouble.

Could they not just recontract someone like Brown, for example, front end the contract and effectively save the cash if they had to?

Considering the offers on the table for both Kelly and Dusty thats an aweful lot of money.

I guess that would be the only way unless they throw it at someone else.

To be honest I'm not convinced they could have afforded both.

My thoughts were that maybe the dusty offer went in because Kelly said no.

But then again at the AA function Kelly clearly said he hasn't made up his mind.

Also Dusty said he met with North a few times during the season. Which means Kelly probably has too. In fact he was just in Melbourne.

Didn't Kelly's dad play there ? I just think Kelly is gone to be honest. He obviously just can't say anything. Massive deal and I don't think the giants come close.

Why would anyone want to leave Richmond for North of all places ? And Richmond's offer was still massive

They giants offer will be no where near the offer of North which I'm sure has just increased with dusty re signing
