So happy for Lauren Arnell seeing the success Port is currently enjoying. Caitlin Wendland too, both former Lions.

Hard to tip the first prelim next week, because both North and Port would be terrific teams to face in a GF

I saw Dan Merrett celebrating in the coaching group there too.

Tremendous footy by Port in that last quarter. Attacking mindsets ftw.
Their last quarter move seems to be Ash Saint to the middle as the bigger body to play alongside the 19 yo ruck (who was also tremendous btw).

Ash plays like Cripps or Bont, a bigger body who can literally will her way through traffic. She has the pace to run back and defend too which is a big bonus.

Lauren kept her in forward line in her primary role and moved her in the last quarter when everyone else was tiring, which was pretty clever.

This is not competitive at the moment. Port need to kill the ball for a while and try wrestle some control.
After their last quarter last week, this was always bound to happen.
Similar to us in 2020 after beating Richmond, we got a lesson against Geelong. And then in 22 after coming from behind to beat Melbourne and then got a lesson from Geelong.
We have the experience now and have learnt those lessons.
Those girls haven’t yet.
