At the end of the day, the scums have no one to blame but themselves for that. They'll learn from it though.

Great game and some classic examples, again, of umpires freezing in the big moments. Old mate Greenwood owes Jarrod Witts a six pack and a box of Cadbury Favourites.

I'm not sure if this is right or not but you'd have to think Keays would walk into our side now.

Showed elite skills and composure inside with extended time in the M/F.

Really pleased for him and sorry we let him go ,but the opportunity may never have come here.
Not sure who he replaces. Seems the most like J Berry who I can't see him being displaced from the team.

I’m very happy for him and he’s turned into a decent player but I can’t agree with him having elite skills. He’s a worse kick than Robbo - which is fine, you don’t have to be an elite kick to be a solid inside inside mid.

Good pickup for the crows though and delighted for Ben.

Well at the moment he's better than Berry. I know that's going to draw howls of discontent but just going on performance this year. Better than Robbo ,T Berry and Dev.

Whatever he'd be an extremely useful reserve over the extended season but unfortunately it seems he thrives on game time and involvement. Which he was never going to get with us in his preferred position.

Seemed to get it where he needed it to go the last two weeks . You've got to remember he's only had a decent crack for 3 games. Maybe we've always underrated him and will keep doing so.

His problem is he doesn't look much good but they wouldn't have won tonight without him , particularly when he came on in the last 15 minutes.

It was best for both parties. He was never going to improve here and the team didn’t need him. It just makes you wonder what a guy like Mathieson could do in a different situation.

It’s not just 3 games though - he played all of last year for Adelaide and was really good for them! In the first two weeks I think he was leading/top couple in the comp in inside 50s and clearances but going at 44% disposal efficiency.

Clearly he does a lot right, but I think the ceiling remains constrained for him.

I think he can develop into a very solid B/B+ inside midfielder. Ceiling is higher than you think but its by absolutely no means a "what could have been" situation for the Lions, its worked out very well because he's gotten the opportunity in his preferred position

I don’t disagree with you at all to be honest and I agree he can be a B/B+ player. His ceiling might be being a tom Rockliff type - I just don’t really rate those players, as while good I think you can find them easily enough.

He never got the chance with us in the MF ,or even significant game time when he played H/F but I remember at the time he played well and we just didn't rate him highly enough to persist. I didn't disagree overly at the time.

My point though is guys like him are always going to be underrated because he doesn't appear to have natural athletic abilities and skills. But he does have a very good football brain.

Reminds me of another match that happened last week, in which the umpires allowed some dodgy stuff to let the home team to win

I wonder who that team was that suffered from last week's dodgy umpiring? ;)

Collingwood wasn't it? **

The mention of Rockliff has made me wonder where he has disappeared too. Just seems to have dropped off the radar......out of favour?

....or have I just not noticed him.

Been the medical sub in both of their games so far.
