Suckered me into listening to the collingwood song. I feel dirty.
Do you remember that clip of Fev (Carlton) singing the Collingwood song and he kept stopping to say how painful it was to do it? Made the song go for a long time but it was fun to watch :)

Looks like Fremantle's depth might get wiped out if all the names listed get traded out.

This is what’s going to happen more and more. Clubs luring good fringe players from opposition teams, with greater opportunity to play senior football.

I believe their depth will just get younger. They still have some good kids who coming through.

Logue is leaving because he’s not getting an opportunity in his preferred position.

Same with Henry. But that’s more on him not being up to cracking in.

Lobb is chasing $$$ and his partner has already moved to Melbourne for work.

I don’t see the “need” for Jackson, but they want him.

And it’s not that high a quality draft this year to be trading out of.

And they have their nga kids this year and next, so it’s not like they’re going to be left picking kids from the back end of the draft.

What has happened at Fremantle on the back of a great season and lot of excitement at the purple haze that so many want out? must admit i'm quite confused why this is the case - disappointing for them - shame this rarely happens to big Vic clubs.

Many years ago…when I was just a boy I played footy with a kid who made it and went on to be a very good player and eventually a Senior AFL coach. We see each other sporadically and have a general footy chat whenever we do - he wants to know what’s going on at grassroots and I obviously want to know what happens at the other end of the scale. A few years he gave an overview of an expansion club and how every year they would have to trade out some top end talent in order to retain the rest but as long as they continued to draft well they should always stay around the mark. This years vignette was that equalisation had taken hold and the difference between each side but part 1-12 came down to essentially injuries and 1 percenters. He also suggested that quite a few teams are in salary cap hell and that this years off season would be bigger than normal. Academies are crucial.

Man, I hate how likeable Fly McRae is. I'd almost not hate to see him win the flag if we don't.

Almost.
A high quality human…always was…always will be and success has followed him wherever he has gone…that’s the real worry for this year and beyond

Interesting that there is salary cap trouble for a few teams. I wonder if it's due to poor juggling during the covid times?

These are the posts I cherish on here.

Media falling over themselves over Collingwood it's making me sick!
I'm no fan of the footy media but to be fair a rise from 17th/6 win season to where they are now is a pretty big story.... although I can't recall but I don't think we got as much praise for our effort from 2018 to 2019.

It's the new, daring game plan approach which may have caught the opposition out a fair bit this season. It's pretty entertaining to watch even for neutral fans. That, along with the lucky run they had with those close wins during home n away season made it even more impressive.

Next year teams would've had time to analyze and take apart their game style. Will be interesting to see how McRae stays ahead of the curve.

Because deep down they all know that Collingwood are their best chance of a Victorian flag this year because they also know deep down that we are going to beat Geelong on Friday night.

Robbo getting the scoop 10 mins before Tom Browne is just the cherry on top of this one. God I hope it happens.
He's delusional. After what went down to go back to James when they're basically on their knees and in desperate need of a fresh broom and new eyes to reset the place they'd be delusional as well.
