ANZAC Day and Dreamtime at the G are going to feel like absolute nothing games.

This would be the perfect year to change it around on Anzac Day. I am thinking a Geelong v hawthorn game would bring the crowds.

Odds on to spend most of the season sulking and avoiding contests. When the going gets tough, BJ does not get going.
I'm sure he'll be more than happy to provide leadership by pointing the top-ups toward the contest.

Speaking of which, I looked at the list of remaining Essendon players and Craig Bird appears to be about the closest thing they've got to an inside mid

You're correct, he is a moaning bastard.

Just on the Bombers top up players, I think they need leadership with pretty much their entire leadership group wiped out. I'd be looking at older players with at least 4 of the vacancies. Guys with decent AFL experience who are prepared to go around again. I'd enquire about James Kelly, Crowley, Jamar who were all delisted rather than retiring.

You're looking at this all wrong. ANZAC Day is one day of the year that I always barrack for the Bombers. Now imagine if they manage to pull together enough to play well enough to beat those Magpies.
I'd be rolling on the floor in laughter if Collywobble manage to be the only team to lose to this lot on one of the biggest footy occasions of the year.
Go Part-time Bombers, just for that game.

Think it was just a knock to the knee that got turned into some click bait articles.

Geez, you'd be a bit PO'd about that if you're a Port fan. They'd have their hearts in their mouths every time Dixon falls awkwardly.

The guy has been injured literally half the time he's been on an AFL list. It's amazing what Port were prepared to trade for him.

Port Adelaide's recent off season remind me a lot of what we did in 09...... Could we be seeing the beginning of crazy ken?

With or without Dixon, I just cannot make up my mind on the Power. Their top end of the list is great (Wingard, Gray, Wines, Boak, arguably Hombsch and Westhoff) but it thins out in a hurry after that. I don't think much of Ebert, Broadbent, Pittard or Hartlett.

All in all, I look at that list and don't really see a top four team. But they were bloody close to a grand final in 2014 so you'd think they'd be a bit closer two years later, even if 2015 was a speed bump.

They need a couple of breakout seasons from some unexpected sources in 2016.

I think Hartlett is a pretty good player but has been playing through some injuries (shoulder for sure) but when he is right is a really good and damaging player. The rest I agree with, a bit of a hole in their side losing ryder and monfries, I bet the are glad they didnt trade lobbe. But we talk about how fickle our supporters are, so are theirs and they are a in a football state. Never tear up the tarps.

Ryan Crowley the first Bombers top up player. Mitch Golby and Zac O'Brien are rumoured to be two of the other ten. Jonathan Simpkin from the Hawks as well.

Can't they only take one former player from each club?
