No wonder Collingwood wanted to dispute reports of 11 failed drug tests in the off season....

"**** off, only 11!?!?! The premiership is a cokewalk!"

I wonder if the 11 was leaked by the Pies because they knew the story about the 30 was coming.

It always struck me as strange that someone would leak 11 Collingwood players, but more at other clubs.

Commentators on Fox Footy are absolutely falling over themselves to talk up Melbourne. A bit excessive.
And they're showing nothing, GWS could run rampant.

Dees are having a good 1st quarter. Whether they can maintain it remains to be seen but the Giants are good and Melbourne are taking it to them.

Snort!!!!....now we are injecting a bit of humour into the topic....could just be a bit of a smokey... but if one Collingwood player out of the 30 was found to be high on illicit drugs....Ed would have us believe it's "a pie in the sky".

I wouldn't be surprised to see between 1/3rd and 2/3rds of the players at every club testing positive to weed, MDMA or cocaine in the off season.
I would. To be a top rated athlete you need to be farely strict on diet and lifestyle. Obviously a work life balance is essential but i couldnt see half the playing list on drugs. Off season or not. Alchohol is different but still disadvantages yourself and team. I know some players might be prone to substance abuse through their upbringing and what not but it would be hard to see half the playing list use drugs. I know the point im trying to make but i dont beleive im getting it out right.

I think we're discussing this in the wrong thread and talking about different things, I'm talking about social use of drugs, not substance abuse or being 'on' drugs which is a whole other issue. There is also evidence (i'll see if i can dig it up) that a small amount of MDMA is less harmful than drinking.

yep, there is a difference between addiction and casual use ie. not all alcohol drinkers are alcoholics. i know quite a few casual weed smokers and they function very well, better than a lot of casual drinkers from my experience.
