We don’t have that luxury.

Brisbane and Hawthorn are already seriously good & wont be going backwards any time soon.

I’m genuinely worried that 2024 will be looked back on as a perfect opportunity blown & we might not get another look in with this crop.

When we blew 2022, everyone said it was about 2024/25 so we kinda blew it already.

I think we pissed away 2021-2024 really that was a pretty solid window, almost in a mini reset with a new coach now, who knows.

In 2020 we finished 16th. To make the finals in 2021 was a fair effort (to say we pissed it away is an overreach). Grand final in 2022 a fair effort and yes we were poor. I was there for that. But in 2020 we were 16th and made a grand final two years later.

Sorry, you don’t know when you will make that leap to the top of the ladder. Just enjoy it, there are no guarantees.

2021 was the first year of a solid 4 year run, I meant we pissed away the run of work.

2021 was a great start to that , and we made a leap bit like the Hawks of 2024.
