Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, watched Goliath all the way through. Fairly good courtroom drama/thriller with Billy Bob and William Hurt.

I've watched the first five episodes of Chance. The show's tone completely changed somewhere between episode 2 and 3. I've invested in too many episodes to give up now. I think you'd call it dark fantasy realism. Is it possible that the Psych and the fat guy are the same guy? Tyler Durdin styles?

Westworld needs to pick up its game. It promised so much but feels like it is re-treading over similar ground with each of the androids. BTW I'm a huge Radiohead fan but think they played two of their songs in the one episode a week ago. Pretty sure we've heard four in total so far. Not sure why they're being referenced so heavily.

Disagree on your 1st point re: Westworld. I'd agree if it was planned to be 1 season & done, but if there are going to be successful subsequent seasons, then what they are doing now is just fine.

But I agree on the over-use of Radiohead... We need some ****-rock to be pianola'd.

Gaso watching-

The Crown- done
Westworld- lubbing
The Missing Season 2- lubbing quality
Quarry- lubbed

...the past four weeks and at the moment and not meandering-self-indulgent-going-nowhere plots that was Chance.

You stay at my place.

I will show you quality.
Hey Gaso, have you tried a knob of butter in your coffee yet ? (not me, instant chuck for sure)

Interestingly, my line of work has me selling boutique canned butter to SE Asia and the Middle East. In Brunei and East Malaysia they roast coffee beans in our butter and it sells for a premium. There is also a trend in North Asia (especially Korea) to put butter in your coffee. Oh well, at least we help the dairy farmers add value to their hard work.

Watching arrested development, really good overall but hate the gob-magic plot. Really annoying

Really need a new show to get stuck into. I watched the first Ep of the Outsiders, that was very meh.

I've watched most of the big ones like Mr Robot, GOT, Breaking Bad/Better call Saul, Fargo, Quarry, Stranger Things

Any recommendations? Was thinking about starting House of Cards but it's so far along I feel like I'm starting too late.

Okay,

GO!

I have seen a fair few Pom shows but yeah, mostly the American stuff.

I did watch a series based on a Dane show, The killing, great show, although at times it was hard to watch because of the emotional realism.

I've watched a couple of non-English/subtitle movies ( City of God, Girl with the Dragon tattoo) but I've never watched a subbed series before. I usually watch tv after everyone goes to bed so not really up for subs.

S01 and S02 of House of Cards are bingeworthy...there is a twist that is breath taking in its shock value that turns the show on its head.

You aren't too far behind.

I usually watch the whole series in three days....disgusting as that sounds.

The Fall S01 and S02 are excellent...S03 shit...BBC.

In the Line of Fire...BBC...Police thriller..about 3 seasons iirc.

The Missing S01 and S02...exceptional...S01 is especially haunting...BBC.

They do excellent Crime shows.

Get onto Making a Murderer on Netflix...there hasn't been anything like it on Netflix in 12 months from what I can see.

If you watch all of these you should be occupied for the next month...scared shit less
...and probably never leave your house again.

Anything the BBC / Poms do is worth watching Gaso. Only discovered New Tricks recently with Denis Waterman being Denis Waterman. Good one for the grumpy olds too.
