Re: North Central Football League

this thread is up the shit!

Time to get it back on track.

Someone from each club give me there disappointing recruit who hasn't lived up to his hype, or has been injured.

And on the flip side, can i get a player from each side that has exceeded everyone's expectations thus far.

I'll have an outsider's look at the burn players...
Under the radar recruit would be Baird. Very solid full back with enough sht in him to handle the better full forwards. IMO.

Dissapointing so far would be Josh Smith's horrid run with injury. One of the fittest blokes i know but always gets niggling injuries. Like lappin of the lions, he always seems to be only one week away. Especially after showing so much promise last year, really took his footy up a notch!

so back on footy now??!!

Re: North Central Football League

Did anyone notice a certain somebody playing the early game up at birchip on saturday. Must be some fair depth if they run him through the maggoo's and still knock off the flag favourites in the main game.
Who you talking about Patty? Birchip is a long way up!

Re: North Central Football League

You have to remember that these "new recruits" weren't brought to the club as "already made stars of the game" give the side some time and results will show...we are coming off a time of huge beltings week after week... and it doesn't help the kids morale to come up against the top 3 sides in the first 3 games...as i said. Positive signs, and things will happen in time....

well why doesnt the club get some "ALREADY MADE STARS OF THE GAME" for once. the last time they did that looked wat happened, we won back to back flags.. glad i wen back up to the swan hill league.. sick of your excuses for the club MOR. are a commite man or something?????

No im not on the Committee, however i feel that given the constant bagging of the club, someone needs to stand up...

The Club is obviously in a position where we dont have "Ready made stars" and we have to work with what we got...Most clubs go through that stage, and at the moment, we are there

Shave that little Moustache Hitlar. I went to uni with a few blokes who play at St A, i knew of Needs, he still there? I understand the new recruits were not who St A were chasing as they didn't play footy last year, i also here they are this close to signing 2 qaulity on ballers from Central Highlands league. If you played at St A when they bwon back to back and now in SwanHill league, i think i've got you pinned magot.

I have an idea too, but look at his "chosen team" Geelong.... that isn't the case is it?

Don't think he got mentioned to tell you the truth. Wasn't there though.
He is definitely one that would be disappointing the locals down at lord nelson.

Big wraps on Stenhouse, boyfriend of a publicans daughter?
How is Royce "Ironfist" Benaim travelling? The boys tell me he issued an open handed sit down on the St A coach Rd1 to prove he meant business for the burners.

Re: North Central Football League

**** you love pumping up wedderburn and old westbourne!!!

looks like you might be on your way to 2 flags this year!!

Haha. Don't think i have pumped them up to much. Just try to give the big footy public an inside to some info they probably wouldn't normally have readily available. And it just so happens to be that this year most of the news coming out of wedderburn (and westbourne) is possitive.

In saying that i'm not getting ahead of myself by picking them as out an out favourites. It's only May God!

I can't believe i just spent 30 seconds justifying myself to you about pumping up my own clubs tyres... ironic really!

Re: North Central Football League

The Saints New recruits:

Cua - very slow, would be interested to see him play in the 2's as he would fit in rather well there.

Holmes- to slow for fb, seen him have 18 goals kicked on him in 2 weeks. Probably should be at CHB.

Dowley - the better of the recruits, good speed should use this to get himself to auskick on Sunday to learn how to kick.

Are you agreeing with my comments posted there or disagreeing?

Dont know enough about the others. Walsh is big and is good enough to be in the 1's the other 2 i havent seen enough of. How about you give your run down Master of Roc you seem to think your in the know at the club.

MOR Is it true the blokes who didnt play last Saturday against Birchip were out because they were blind as bats on Friday night? How many were involved with this exactly?

No has nothing to do with friday night...the decision to drop them was made thrusday night

Re: North Central Football League

Dowley - Good - needs a right foot (hes a lefty)
Hyndman - Didn't play footy last year, but will be good
Wilson - Goes well
Cua - I agree, probably too slow, generally has a nice kick, and has a good footy head
Walsh - If he was more fit, would be a handy 1's defender

dont think cua should be in the twos. he's handy to have in the forward line. holmes isnt too slow the delivery of the ball last week was too good for him. dowley has got alot of toe about him and should be really handy on the half forward line. wilson good player. hyndman will be good once he gets into it a bit more.

Re: North Central Football League

I heard the interleague squad has been decided on. Anyone know it - or want to put up suggestions for their clubs. A few suggestions i have - however i haven't seen all teams play yet:

Birchip - R Lee, Scambler, Cliffy, Noonan, Coloe
Boort - C Rutley, Nelson, Bartram, T Ferrier, A Cooney, Rice
Charlton - Andrews, Hill, Walklate, Judd, Finlay
Donald - Funke, Wyatt, Fraser
St Arnaud - Needs, Drum, Brearly, Solymon, Petrie
Wedderburn - Steinhouse, Pearce, Rose, Benaim,
Wycheproof - R Allan, Tinkler

i have probably missed some people, so feel free to add or subtract where necessary.

Let's hope Andrews pulls the jumper on this year and gives Sunraysia a real thumping!!!

Another Boort ****!

Having played them on the weekend, they gave a much better show than last year! Will be middle of the road this year with a few to still come back in the side I'm told. Must be staying off the grog this year, unlike there cricket.

The only decent player in the Boort side is Craig Rut's. Good bet for the Feeny.

Ferrier/Reid/Bartram are just good honest goers!

As for Whyche being the crappest side, they have more flags than us and probably alot more than you (How many exactly have Boort won?)

Not being smart captain, but were you in the 1s or 2s saturday?

so you played on the weekend did you? i find that hard to believe!!

ferrier and reid just good honest players? you've seen them play once!!

craig rutley is an absolute gun, but i think you may have left out perryman and r rutley who both kicked over fifty goals last year, and haldane nelson and drew bartram who both run all day and get plenty of the pill, add matty rice in there as well.

please dont comment on things you know very little (if anything) about!
