Re: North Central Football League

Yes he can... For us, Phil Cua played 10 or 11 games or something in the 1's, but played the First Semi in the 2's, as both played on the same day

Austin Fithall had played the first 3-4 games int he 1's, and the last few in the 2's (missed the middle thru injury) but was available, due to both playing onthe same day

Back in 03, im sure we all remember the Heath McNally scenario, pllayed 1's most if not all year, and was dropped for the Grand Final (and played reserves, was allowed because both were playing)

So yeah, He "could"

Re: North Central Football League

were did wedderburn finish this yeah and what does the future hold for them, there mite be a few big recruits from melb heading there

Re: North Central Football League

They finished on top, 13 wins 3 losses i think?

They're playing in the Grand FInal this weekend...

Their Future depends on who they can hold onto... Heard a rumour that a couple of them are heading the way of South Bendigo

Re: North Central Football League

But no that one player wouldn't make the difference, with Barnes coming back in, the Reserves will be strengthened all that much more (Wedd) id presume Mills will be the victim. Definately not a capewalk!
Mills will play seniors on the weekend.

Re: North Central Football League

Who would those 4 be Big King? It will be a big decision for sure and a handy inclusion for Wdderburns reserves..
Well gun these 4 may suprise you but they are the names i have heard are going around the selection table,
J.Mills (Probably the most valuable player if he does drop back into the 2's can win a game off his own boot as we saw in 2005 grand final)
S.Polkinghorne (tough in and under, disposal lets him down but could do a job on the likes of klifford or finlay)
J.Pierce (Just one of many big men in a big team, no one really to match up on in a fast running charlton team)
D.Lockhart (Captain Coach, slight twinge of hamstring at training on sunday didnt finish the session and will be put through a fitness test on friday, could miss)

Re: North Central Football League

Yeah all are good points, you seem to know a bit of whats going on, hadn't heard of the lockhart hamstring. Nobody has mentioned Hayes yet, will he be a certain starter?

If Dean Lockhart didn`t line up Saturday for the `burn that would be a positive for Wedderburn and a negative tor Charlton. Playing Barnes in a GF if he isn`t 100% might cost them.

Totally agree with you , Lockhart is the sort of guy that could cost his side the big one, too old and slow to possibly have an influence on the game with Charlton having too many quicks, I'm sure he'll be playing himself though..off the bench may be his only option.

Re: North Central Football League

I did say I could be way off, I'm not really involved in the inner sanctum's of any club. I still reckon that on average a coach in the NCFL would be on 15-20k (can't imagine Lockhart, Lee, Lourey, Solymon on any more than this). Then to get up to 80k like some have suggested you would have to have 4-5 on 500 a game, another half a dozen on 200-300 a game, and the rest on at least 100 a game. Surely not many clubs in the NCFL are paying this much.

Please check your sums.
Coach = $20,000
Assistent Coach = ????
5 x $500 x 16 games = $40000
6 x $250 x 16 games = $24000
9 x $100 x 16 games = $14400
-------
$98400
That is going on your last message.
