I am not a huge fan of how Port are playing and wouldn't like us to play that way, I like that he is more offensive than Laidley but Power never seem to go back as hard anywhere near as hard as they go forward. While that style would look good when you win, don't think it will get past top sides that work hard backwards and forwards.

Apparently it was a rumour floated on SEN (I didn't hear it as I had to turn my radio down while I was on the phone to SEN) that North has offered Williams a three year deal. Anyone hear exactly what I said? What think ye all about chocko as a potential coach?

I heard the call. Definitely Choco Williams and the caller was very unconvincing. The rumour was immediately and severely debunked by Greg Denham on the basis that Williams' contract forbids him or his management from negotiating with another club before the end of June. Also, his management is the same as Dean Laidley's, so if this deal has been done, the shit would already have hit the fan. This rumour appear to be baseless.

I heard it as well gk and can corroborate snrub's version of events. It sounded like crap and was treated so too.

In terms of insight and analysis, he is the best football commentator of the past 15 years. No-one comes close. What that means in terms of his coaching ability I have no idea, but he knows the game back to front and sideways.

I also thought he was damn impressive when they showed him coaching the U/16 Vic Country team (or whatever it was) on The Footy Show the other night. He seemed to know exactly what he wanted wanted out of them, and his presence commanded the respect of the players.

He would make a good school teacher too based on that.
