I agree, the KPP thing is overrated by the media/BF for us (and will add I expect Wil Dawson to be spoken of as a KPP draft win in the coming seasons not to mention Logue is now uninjured). Take pick 2, get a cream on top mid and then work future picks in to get some KPP prospects.
north have brought in a lot of elite midfield talent I think they need some X factor a goal kicker take a punt see if Essendon will match a bid on kaka at pick 2

I've always wondered how Kaka would go in the AFL, but at 42 I reckon he's probably a bit old to take with such a high draft pick.

Clubs could just take him as a Cat B rookie couldn't they? :)

I don't see why we would do that deal.

We could be trading two top 3 picks for Pick 5 & 9 and could easily be viewed as one of the worst trades ever post 2025.
More just because majority of the top talent next year is academy driven

And with increased flexibility with future trading, you could always bring your picks forward

Not all of them though. If we finish bottom three and jump ahead of most Academy picks, our pick is even more valuable.
Yeah i get what your saying

But barring injuries

Pick 1 already gone again, just thinking that with two early picks this year, your side could be pretty much set

The majority? That seems like an exaggeration. In Davo-27 's rankings he has 23 first round level players and only 5 are club tied.

I imagine they would jump on it very quickly, would not be a very smart trade from gws though
GwS are not involved. They might offer 15,16 for 10 if North get 10, I don't have a clue if that is possible.
I suspect ( from reading bigfooty so probably wrong) GWS offered 15,16 for 8 but have been turned down.

If that happens again just shut the club down

8/9 wind should be a min and there is no reason they wont achieve that with double up games against the bottom 6 teams of 2024

There were games where North looked a million dollars for 3 / 4 of the game only to give up leads
That wont happen in 2025

North wont be bottom 3

Who says Uwland is the best player? Most rankings I've seen have Sharp at #1.
You may have, Uwland has been projected 1/2 in some rankings

I would assume North fans would be projecting to finish higher than that, hence the potential thought that their F1 is more valuable now than later

I wonder if they will give us a deal to split their pick 2 that's too good to refuse before next Friday or will they just wait until live trading on draft night

The general vibe now is we're holding 2 and a few ITK's are starting to put up Draper as our main target. I genuinely do believe we'll work together to get you guys into 2025 again and us later into 2024 as you have more picks than list spots IIRC.

Sounds like you're holding onto pick 2 because no one is keen enough to do a deal. Twomey said as much today.

We will trade at least one pick into 2025 and clubs are lining up for it, so that is not dependant on North, but I agree, I won't be surprised if we do a deal on draft night. Let's see who blinks first.

It's possible, I'd say we also hold a higher value on it than other clubs which is fine. You can't always get the bounty and there's no shame picking at 2.

Live on the night will be interesting... we are obviously planning on something into this draft as we have just opened up another list spot and may still open more but it could be something as simple as moving the F2 for a slider.

Like 11,F2 for Norths F1,F3.

Yup. I’d imagine if you had no serious buyers for 2 it would be easy enough to offload a future second to get back in. Need to have some collateral next year to trade for a tall otherwise the list build becomes too distorted.

I think Smith is the best option at 2.
Bullet proof selection. Wouldn’t mind him at 1.

8 wins this year and we are still bottom 4.

8 or 9 wins does not shoot you very far up the ladder. 11 or 12 wins does and we don't look close to winning that many.

Oh what a shame...based on everything we've read the last few days from Tiger journo's and supporters, it's doomsday that scenario for North....

8 wins is borderline bottom 3
