Data from footywire. To check the draft order see the thread here.

Footywire says: "While we make every effort to keep up to date with player contracts, it is likely that our data may at times be out of date, incomplete or inaccurate. If you find any player contracts that need updating, please let us know using our brand new contract submission form."

My personal view, from Tigers perspective, is that there is not a lot of difference between getting a second player out of FOS/Lalor/Smith at pick 2 than getting Smillie/Langford at pick 6. So I would not be looking at involving pick 6 in a trade.
However, who knows what the recruitment team are thinking - are they set on a specific dynamic duo?

What about the possibilities of trading 10 & 11 for pick 2 while keeping pick 6?
It means missing on 2 of (for example) Travaglia, Lindsay, Armstrong, Berry for a second player out of FOS/Lalor/Smith and still getting Smilie/Langford.
That is definitely worth considering, especially if players like Berry, Hotton, Shanahan are a reasonable chance to be available at our pick 18 and are viewed close enough quality to those available at 10.

Would that also be attractive to North? Picks 10 & 11 instead of pick 2?
Would North prefer one of FOS/Lalor/Smith/Draper or two of Travaglia, Lindsay, Armstrong, Berry, Tauru, Trainor ?
Or, prefer other options involving trading out future first to get one from each group?
10+11 means both our preferred targets could be gone. Pick 6 involved more unlikely.
Pick 2 means for you that your absolute preferred 2 targets are at Punt road.
There is no real clear pick one this year, but there's not a massive imaginary gap to the 2nd bloke.
The top 4 look like locks to me.

who are your top 4 excluding NGA/FS?

For me (in no real order) Lalor, FOS, Draper and Smith

If that happens again just shut the club down

8/9 wind should be a min and there is no reason they wont achieve that with double up games against the bottom 6 teams of 2024

There were games where North looked a million dollars for 3 / 4 of the game only to give up leads
That wont happen in 2025

North wont be bottom 3

So realistically, how many games do you see us winning next year? Because even if we double our number of wins next season, we are still bottom 3.

There seems to be a narrative that North are desperate for a key position tall. Charlie Comben established himself as a genuine game breaker this year and his future could be at either end of the ground. We also drafted a first round key defender Will Dawson last year who is tracking well. There is also a speculative tall we took at pick 2 in the rookie draft last year Finnbar Maley who was high in the VFL b&f as a first year playing forward/ruck. Then we have our AA key forward, a fit Logue, an improved Corr and an aging yet still capable Darling.
If North took one of the big 4 mids at pick 2 it would be fine. We are still to yet find our perfect midfield mix. The only 2 mids who are strictly CBA types are LDU and Wardlaw. The others are all very flexible.
There is quite a bit of depth for key position players in this draft and North could package F2 and F3 to get back in a bit later in the second round where there could still be Sims, O'Farrell, Gerryn, Mraz or Nichols to add to the developing stocks.

between 7-9/10

It would not surprise me to see North really jump up next year
There is way too much talent on the list that is young and now have 2-3-4 years in the system that are ready
and with experience heads in the team things could change quickly. I very much doubt you are bottom 4 next year

I hope you're right but I don't share your confidence
