Nah you dont slide a few spots for a player thats expected to be drafted by the crows at #4 from pick #2
You just take him at #2

He's potentially not though, that's your expectation/assumption....

You keep basing everything on Twomey's opinion regarding North and Tauru.

That same opinion has Draper in the back end of the top 10 and Murphy Reid in between them.....

If Adelaide are looking to trade up, it's not for Draper, it's for FOS. As it supports the same assertion as your post. Why trade up for someone if you just get them at #4?

Draper could legitimately slide if we are basing Twomey's opinion as gospel. Under that same theory Langford and Reid are likely getting taken sooner than most in here are hypothesizing about.

I think Adelaide will take Draper or Langford
I dont see draper falling past St Kilda but will most likely be gone by then
I think Twomey has good mail on Tauru as he doesnt usually get things like this wrong unless he is sure
Reid is extremely under rated and i think Richmond would love him to slide to #10 and Have Lalor,Smillie,Reid

Well seeing as how its well known North are looking to slide 'A few spots"
If Tauru was over blown and just jurno click bait

Who is the player North have thats worth sliding back a few spots for ?
Ask any recruiter with 1 pick in the 1st 3 rounds if they want more picks and the answer is always yes. It would be an instant and obvious response.

We should take Lalor, FOS or Smith. Along side Draper look like the cream. The rest have bigger and more question marks on them - including Taurau.

Agree

But considering they are happy to slide then pretty much takes all of the above out of the picture
So it would either have to be a KPP like Tauru / Armstrong that Noth would have their sights on if they slide

The Media are happy for us to slide.

We are happy to take FOS, Lalor or Smith - take some of the cream and leave the crop to the rest.

And Tauru's disposal reminds of Magoo McKay and Armstrong looked great with an elite midfield hitting him lace out all day.

Pass - pass.

I am hoping for FOS. The safest bet to be the best from this draft.

Where have we been quoted as saying "a few spots"? I've only seen Brady quoted as "We'd be interested in a small slide potentially if we were able to get some really good currency for it". The real question is who are the two (or more) players worth sliding for as that's a pretty non-commital quote and requests good currency. What is a few? For me it's no more than three.

I've always thought our cut off point may be the Dees but in all likelihood would be the Crows. That top four is going to be wild though with how it can land. Crows might come in thinking FOS is the go or hoping you bypass Lalor at 1. Blues might have Jagga in mind.

"a few spots" & "We'd be interested in a small slide - Same Same

I've always thought our cut off point may be the Dees but in all likelihood would be the Crows.- Fact that Richmond and North have been in constant discussion would indicate a slide to #6 was on the cards

Crows might come in thinking FOS is the go - I think its Draper or Langford for the Crows than FOS with rankine, and the other kid that skips my mind currently that wanted more mid time

Blues might have Jagga in mind. - 100% FOS or Draper IMO

Tarau is the new Curtain. We were going reach or slide back for Curtain last year.

Very happy we didn't.

I hope you guys hold and select FOS but i am having doubts North do
they will either trade down if they can or just select Tauru

Too much smoke around this this close to the draft IMO

Good luck though hope it works out

I think the first line is purely a matter of perspective.

I have no doubt that North and Richmond have had discussions, I think North would be pushing the F1 more. Both clubs have probably nutted out any number of scenarios in good faith.

No issue with the views on the draft, was just presenting scenarios. Agreed Langford could be perfect for the Crows. I think (based on third party info I'll admit) that the Carlton forum has been heavy in discussing Jagga. There's still a possibility we see one of our top 2 at 4. It has many permutations.

Agree with the highlighted part and think that Richmond would be prepared to give up a #10 or #11 for the F1 if they acquired #2 in a combined deal but would highly doubt anything better would be traded before #18 for future picks with 7 teams wanting to trade back into this draft

Whole thing feels like 6+11+18 for 2 and F1, then you can mix it and be painted as 6+18 for 2 and 11 for F1, or whatever, but we will never know.
Both clubs supporters be “happy not happy”……it kinda works. Provided we are confident Tauru gets to 6 or even 11, if that’s who we are actually locked in on.
Am sure we’d want 10+11, but wouldn’t get up. Do tigers have any later picks at 30+?
Also very possible 6+18 and we keep our F1 in the deal……feels light on to me, but I know it doesn’t to others.
I’m still holding out hope we manage to trade F1 with Adelaide, that’d be my perfect/dream set up…..especially if Draper is gone in first 2 or 3.

Personally i think there wont be any team that is prepared to trade a pick below #15 unless it's involved with further trades
The top 14 picks will be held onto tightly and GWS are the first opening i see that gets a F1 trade done on the night, but they also have 6 list spots to fill and will depend on if there is a player they want still being available.
I'm not sure what North supporters' opinion would be on just bypassing this draft and loading up for 2025.

Trade #2 to Essendon for their 2 x 1st rounders and have 3 x 1st rounders plus their 2nd & 3rd rounder for 2025
and just take 3-4 kids late in this year's draft (KPP) and see if the team evolves with the current crop and develop the late KPP's. 1 step back to go 2 steps foward approach.
I like the thinking here, though not the trade, we wouldn't want to kick everything into next year. But there is certainly much better value in trading picks into next year than going the other way. No way we would do it, but I would suggest something like this could work for both teams.

2, 62, F3 > F1, F1, 28, 31

Essendon have enough points to match a Kako bid without 28 and 31, and there are a few appealing talls for us in that range.

That would be a fantastic deal for North but cannot see the bombers doing 2 x 1st rounders and 2 x 2nd rounder for pretty much just #2

I think its pretty obvious Richmond wont do these deals in this draft
#6 + #18 / #20 are pretty fair for #2 imo but a straight out #10/#11 would be considered overs for Richmond and Blair wouldnt do that. But again just brain storming but im thinking the way it looks there wont be a Tigers/Roos trade for #2
