My understanding is the week is only a match simulation and will not be streamed.

Next week is a full match practice which is why it will be streamed.

I don't know if that is enough of a reason to not stream both.
Yeah I think they should/could easily live stream it

If the public are going in and watching may as well live stream it for others also

Amy Smith getting some positive support in the fantasy podcast, I know there will be at least one person on here who will absolutely love that. :)

AFLW Fantasy defenders: Premiums, mid-priced marvels, rookie radar

Amy Smith (DEF, $625,000) – Kangaroos
If there was one takeaway from the defenders episode of the Official AFLW Fantasy Podcast, it was Gemma's big call that Amy Smith would be a top five Fantasy defender in season eight. The selling point is that she's a big tackler, ranking in the top 20 last season with an average of 5.9 per game. With added consistency in her game and the opportunity to push up on the wing and play in the midfield, Smith will hopefully win more footy in 2023 to be a breakout pick.

Is the match sim being live streamed? They said the would but I can't find it anywhere

Looks like a solid grab from Shierlaw, hopefully she completed it :), that kind of marking power up forward could be the difference this season.

I only saw the last quarter and maybe half of the third quarter but all that time, Kearney, Ferguson, and Shierlaw were running laps of the boundary line, and for the whole last quarter, so were Garner and Rennie. For the other mob, Prespakis played out the whole game so that means they were at full strength AFAIK.

While I was there, Liz McGrath did a lot of the ruck work and Lucy Burke held down full back. Sophie McCarthy spent a lot of time at full forward but I didn't see her impact the game. However, she does look stronger, as does Taylor Gatt. Mia King is becoming a brute force. Alice O'Loughlin looked to be a class above, and Jenna Bruton had the ball on a string.

It's a tall forward line, but the two smalls are very talented ball users so it will be interesting to see how the unit performs.

Gatt could be another worth watching, she had a few good moments each game last year, but generally looked a little overwhelmed, hopefully we see some improvement from her, she does have the speed to be a valuable player through the middle.

I reckon it’s lacking Granville as another small forward. Alice is more that medium tall.

I’d drop one of Shannon or Wright (have enough defenders with lulu on the bench)

Granville is definitely a player I would consider, perhaps at the expense of Gavalas, who is a little lacking in the foot speed.

It would be nice if the girls could have two practice matches or a least an extended bench so they can try a few different set ups before the season starts.

Taylah's biggest issue last season was that she was getting pushed off the ball too easily. The good news is she looks like she's spent some time in the gym in the off-season. Hopefully, that will make all the difference.

Photos can deceive especially with flexed muscles but I am looking at that pic and seeing signs of a fair bit more core and leg strength. She was a rake last season.
She is actually around the same height as O'Loughlin, I didn't realise that.

If she can show a similar level of improvement this season that Alice showed last season that we found a little star out on the wing.
