Why don't we see star indigenous players in AFLW? Would be awesome if there were female guns like a Cyril or Buddy running around.

Courtney Hodder's been better than good for Brisbane in the second half tonight. We might need to put Rikki on her to match the pace.

In addition to the other responses:

Prespakis and Anderson have won league B&Fs. The other Prespakis was just named captain of the AFLPA U22 team.

Ponter and Houghton are top 5 for all-time goals. Davidson is pretty high up there too.

Almost half of the Mark and Goal of the Year awards have been won by indigenous players.

That was low hanging fruit and I'm proud you did what you had to to collect the 4 pts.

Fox just showed Clarko, X, Sheez and Pinky there. I'd imagine there's more as others have alluded to but that's all I saw.

Maley was there and Kingy repping the past players.

As others have said, Vikki Wall makes a massive difference up front compared to last season and Shierlaw is a handy addition too given her work on the lead. Randall and King are decent targets but just put up the hand and want it sat on their heads.

Bris was a better result for us - Crows were the best team we played and pushed us twice.

May have been mentioned (can’t be bothered looking), but the commentary on Fox in the last qtr about how PA midfielders had really stepped up - despite us having our best players on the bench and taking the foot off was absolutely laughable.

I was saying to the wife we should take the whole team off as they couldn't kick 11 goals even if we just left in a couple of token defenders for the last quarter

They had a lot of the ball for large parts of both games but they didn't put it on the scoreboard so they didn't control either game in my opinion. Their forwards went missing when it counted.

If Brisbane manage to knock us off - the won’t - my overriding sense will be “fair play to them, they’re a great team”. I’m 100% sure our team will give their absolute utmost effort. It would take an extraordinary performance by the Lions to overcome us. Beating Adelaide so convincingly should leave us under no illusions about what we will face.

Alice and Aileen would be both deserving AA’s. However, there is no way that Aileen should get the nod over Alice. However, I fear that’s how it might pan out.
