Feels like we're able to score a lot more freely than in previous years. Might just be the Shierlaw factor but it feels like the gameplan's functioning better too

homie relaxBullshit. He shits on Garner any chance he gets.
2 time winner of the coaches award and currently leading it this year.
How many times have Hatchard or Marinoff won it? Big fat ******* 0.
There are some facts for you.

They were the only two that came to mind, but I don’t think they are any better than Garner and Riddell but they have played on better, stronger teams. Also, both Marinoff and Hatchard have played together since the very first AFLW season while Riddell didn't play the first two and missed a majority of a third with an ACL (IIRC) injury and Garner came across from Collingwood and so they have really only had four seasons working together in the middle. It's not hard at all. 29yo Garner (5) and 27yo Riddell (2) have 7 AA selections between them.
Marinoff (5) and Hatchard (4), who are both 25yo, have 9 AA selections between them.
giantroo might need to create a highlights reel forI loved it, and now my whole family can be amused for days watching me on their edited clips.
If against Melbourne this weekend, Garner and Riddell greatly exceed the 60 disposals, 4 goals and 19 tackles that Hatchard and Marinoff produced (say 70 disposals, 5 goals and 25 tackles), I'll happily say they are now the best midfield duo in the competition. They were the only two that came to mind, but I don’t think they are any better than Garner and Riddell but they have played on better, stronger teams. Marinoff and Hatchard may have better resumes but they have been playing together longer, but I don’t think they have produced a season quite like what Garner and Riddell are producing this season, barring something catastrophic both are locks for AA this year, I’m not 100% convinced the Crows stars are locks at the moment.
I noticed you were a little selective in the stats you chose, you didn't include clearances (I would have thought an important stat for midfielders) because Marinoff and Hatchard combined for only 6 which is less than what both Garner and Riddell average per game and you didn't include turnovers and clangers either because both Marinoff (7 turnovers and 6 clangers) and Hatchard (6 and 7) were a little wasteful with their possessions. So maybe Garner and Riddell combining for less than average clearances and 30 or more turnovers and clangers could be another set of stats to keep an eye on.Did anybody see what Beth Lynch did a couple weekends ago? Suspended for driving her knee into a player who was comprehensively outplaying her.
Too worried about other people, not focussing on the football. When in a football environment, aggressive focus on the football is the most important thing.

If they fall well short (say 40 disposals, 1 goal and 10 tackles), I'll remember to make lame excuses by talking about Riddell missing 5 games in 2019 with an ankle injury, or how Hatchard and Marinoff started playing together before AFLW existed.
Love VivSaw a liitle bit of Gold Coast's last game v Brisbane, Viv Saad was marking anything that came her way, played well, good on her.
Usually once the game is over you can go through gaps in the fences on any side - today wasn’t great, I actually got out faster by going across the oval in the kick to kick than I would have waiting for the crowd to be let out past the race.
I think GC moved her back to defense and she excelled as a fullback/centre half back. I think she has worked on her kicking as well as she has a better disposal efficiency than Ebony Marinoff.Saw a liitle bit of Gold Coast's last game v Brisbane, Viv Saad was marking anything that came her way, played well, good on her.
Lucky you didn’t see the week before - she was worst in ground.Saw a liitle bit of Gold Coast's last game v Brisbane, Viv Saad was marking anything that came her way, played well, good on her.

I didn't select the stats. The people I responded to selected them. The original question talked about disposals and goals.I noticed you were a little selective in the stats you chose
If you're saying "whichever pair gets more votes is better", then we need only wait a few weeks for when all the top teams have played each other. While we are trying to work out who is the better judge on players and their performances, let's bring in the coaches.
I agree. **** that aggressive Teen Wolf guy who always shits on her.Jasmine Garner has been the best player in AFLW's short history
Bresnehan would come in for craven off hbf who has been playing as an extra defender off the benchBresnehan is on track to be ready for the finals. The question is who do you drop. Has to be Craven or Tripodi, surely? The starting back line is currently Shannon, Ferguson, Kearney, Wright, O'Shea. No names stand out there for dropping.
Great to see Erika get a coaches vote and make the AFLW team of the week given the strong season she is putting together, and none of them are moving out - but as they and Flash were all in the team until her injury, you’d assume they’ll just revert to the structure and rotations they were using then. Craven was very good on the weekend and Tripodi was again handy (I thought she was running out of steam a bit, but she bounced back), so either would be unlucky.Bresnehan is on track to be ready for the finals. I was quite impressed by Martin on the weekend even though her stats didn't add up to much.Great to see Erika get a coaches vote and make the AFLW team of the week given the strong season she is putting together, and none of them are moving out - but as they and Flash were all in the team until her injury, you’d assume they’ll just revert to the structure and rotations they were using then. I love Gav but would like to see Martin stay in for a couple of games at least.

She was able to get to the right spots and didn't look out of place at all. Considering it was her first ever game of football there was quite a bit to like and it would be good to see her given another chance this week.
Gavalas was horribly out of form and a weak link in every passage of play that involved her. I think the game has gone past her unfortunately.Great to see Erika get a coaches vote and make the AFLW team of the week given the strong season she is putting together, and none of them are moving out - but as they and Flash were all in the team until her injury, you’d assume they’ll just revert to the structure and rotations they were using then.
