Well considering how inexplicably excited these crazy Indians get whilst watching the cricket, I doubt they would be able to watch a game of footy and remain alive at the same time. I mean the mere sight of Tendulkar enduces fits for many Indians, imagine what would happen if they saw Thommo?

Nah I was thinking more something along these lines...

EDIT: Yeah, let's not.

Sorry, YOTR. Of course, I liked the picture, but I'm not sure everyone else (or more importantly, Admin) will enjoy its aesthetic virtues.

Now I have been reading this thread with slight scepticism, okay I lied, great scepticism actually. Now this rumour would not by chance be started by some Hawthorn troll for example to gain gleeful joy at us supporters jointly gaining a huge erection of the possibility of massive cash in flows from such a sponsorship? I find it far fetched that the IPL who I believe are yet to fully pay its own players and are making a loss from what I have read would enter into a massive sponsorship with a low profile club on the other side of the world who participate in a game that Indians know nothing about. Doesn't make sense. If it was a soccer team that has international exposure then maybe it could be a possibility but North melbourne??? I hope I am wrong.

Playing in India as a pre-season game as the Pies did with EU, can only mean building the greater network connection. I'm all for that concept but I wonder if
the Indians will get better access to watching North on their channels than we get here (in the future) ??

I nominate Thomas as our Indigenous Indian :thumbsu:

5 games a weekend on Australia Network - well more than the average free to air TV in Australia itself.....though the quality is not as good given the compressed signal feed.

Hyderabad has added a few North Melbourne supporters to our fold.....though converting those to members might take me a little longer :p

There were some issues about players supposed to be paid before the tournament started who didn't, but apparently the TV ratings and sponsorships for the IPL have gone through the roof, and the whole tournament has made a ginormous profit in the hundreds of millions of rupees.

On the current international money market exchange that equate to NZ$3.45
