Clarko's first squad since returning, and the following things are notable:

  • Cunnington in
  • Turner not dropped (at least not immediately - still listed in squad)
  • McDonald and Stevenson still named as starting on the field
  • Not that it matters greatly, but Sheezel named in the Centre is interesting
  • Tucker named in the forward line - believe that might be a first?
  • No Cooper Harvey

That TT, Sheez, Tucker sequence in the spine of the team has been a thing for four or five weeks now. Nothing new there

I clearly have nfi, at all, as to what might be discussed at the selection table.
Assuming things like form are discussed, could just be darts at a board or a hat with pieces of paper.
🙈🙉🙊

McDonald not dropped. Taylor still in.

This week is a match up of system versus no system.

This playing group is ripe for a belting.
I reckon it’s gonna get ugly and early.
Melbourne has found its attacking game plan in recent weeks.

Bench should be Powell, Goldstein, Lazzaro and Bobby. Lazzaro sub.

Dawson still no go even after he was very good in vfl. Must be banging someone's daughter
I honestly don’t understand this, we’ve played 42 players this year and our backline’s terrible.

He’s no world beater by any means but his form in the VFL has been good, surely he deserves a go?

But in all seriousness I might watch the score via the App and do something constructive for 2 hours

That would be a good enough Change
That's what I did last week. It worked wonders for my stress levels.

Can’t help but think they are gone
Perez returning from injury so doesn't surprise me but Dawson defs seems cooked. With the way the bench is this week the only defender on it is young assuming ziebell is sub again. So unless we're going with tucker Thomas and sheezel as defenders then I see young playing again

Haven't seen that before.
They should just play without umpires, let the players officiate, like we used to do in the schoolyard. They'd probably get more correct decisions any way.

They are waiting to see if Eleni’s internet provider can hold up so she can Skype umpire the game

Yeah of course you are right - I mean with us its very much still in learning mode for the entire system, but there is always a chance Melbourne try a few different looks that give us some breathing room for the boys to get a roll on and make a fist of it.

I'm not sure if dawson is cooked really, but he hasn't exactly been a duck to water with some of the positions he has been trialled in.
