Messy quarter from us; if the last decade has taught us anything, it should be that rushed handballing isn't the key to a successful performance. Too many players for us not having an influence, either through not getting their hands on it (Thomas 0 touches in a half, most of the other new younger players barely sighted) or some seriously bad play (Hall blazing away brainlessly every time, Pittard with some poor defending on Heeney, Polec flighty, missing shot after shot on goal).

If we're staying this close despite those issues, that bodes well - change things up, bring back the intensity and effort from earlier in the game, and we should be able to take this. Josh Walker has been a great pick-up for us.

The Polec decision is one of the most ludicrous umpiring choices I've seen in a long time - no way a one-grab mark like that is a touched behind, ever.

Got to admit, I find it amazing that Cunnington goes out and Ahern comes in and they don't play him in the guts.

I think we have to look at Ahern and Bonar more in the midfield. We are lacking any dynamic play outside of Jy
