It’s round 22 of 24, we have injuries and general soreness to key players, have disgusting skills, reliant on a handful of players that turn up when they feel like and have Simpkin and McDonald as captains… so, yeah

Wardlaw’s stoppage craft needs so much work, gets sucked into the contest far too often which slaughters us in the outside. It ends up being 3 v 1 far too often because of centre square mids don’t maintain their width.

I reckon this is why counterintuitively our midfield often looks better when Will Phillips is playing, even when her goes missing for large portions.

He plays defensive side, lays tackles and lets LDU cook. Wardlaw, powell and Simpkin get sucked to the ball, or gamble run forward.
