This is so true. We need the best available mid in the draft. That much is clear.

If he is the most highly skilled mid in the draft, then yes, we need him.
Personally, I don’t care what positions the players play that we pick up, we must simply pick those that have elite skills, we’ll just have to try and fit them in somewhere.
Our lack of skill is destroying this club.

I understand they're not all midfielders and I'm not suggesting a like-for-like swap, but given our structure and our overall levels of talent, I am sorry, but Will Phillips' being omitted this week (and potentially on the cusp of departing the club) really makes me question our match selection/list managers.

It's one thing if Phillips is being omitted in favour of more promising youngsters or undroppable veterans, but that really isn't the case at all.

I'm salty that we're getting pantsed today and we're playing multiple guys who clearly don't have a future at this club.
