Not sure if this is accurate mate. But hey this is bigfooty - us keyboard warriors are not concerned with what is accurate. Anyway, regardless it has been done to death - move on to next week.

This thread has gone to sh1t - I'll leave to the dribblers.

Good luck to all those playing finals footy :thumbsu:

Good Idea.

This Week Monty have North...Monty have some players coming back into the side and the conditions for the weekend look like their could be some rain. North at home look strong but so do mont. I think it could be a good contest. I think on their day North could get over them but will find it hard to shut down Monts forward line.

Thoughts everyone?

First final also - Bundys chances of knocking off North down at eltham? IMO bundooras midfield would have to fire and shut Harvey down and the supply to caddy if they have a chance.

J+B - Stanley and Swindon back this week?

Dear dodo (sorry bobo), Yes skips struck the bloke from behind, but did so with care. Your little brain is probably ticking over time saying how could this be the case? Well he hit him to cause injury yes, he concussed him yes, but as a previous poster stated he is a cop and through his training knows how to inflict injury to someone without causing severe injury, ie brain damage (highly unlikely I know) or the likes. Skips struck him but caught him in a headlock on the way down as to stop the impact of him falling where you fate is in the hands of God as to which way you land and head hits the ground. I dont condone what Skips did, but for all these people calling him a dog with a few expletives in between is quite harsh and not deserved of a man who has played the game so fairly throughout his whole career.

But as J&B stated, lets move on, last round for us Panthers boys, hopefully we can get up against the Cougars and finish of the season strongly which will give us something to build on for next year. All the best to those playing finals. :thumbsu:

hmm i dont think they will worry too much about knocking themselves off, maybe north though. but yes bundooras mids would have to fire and they do have potential to do that. harvey is the gamebreaker though, he would definatly have to be shut down, if not i dont think bundoora would be able to find enough goals. not so much of a worry with caddy, grossman will take him and everyone knows grossy doesnt get beaten, already took the points comfortably last time they played. :thumbsu:

to all u eltham supports who think mark minney is suck a good player thats fine but when he hits someone from behind thatis pretty weak and dont go giving me this crap that he has won allthese bfs and what ever he hit the bloke from behind

i am stronly against being hit from behind as it has hapened to me before by a fat ugly **** who is going to get wat he deserves sooner or later...but when it happens to a bloke like santoro who rubbed a certains someones head into the ground whilst he was out cold...its always brings a smile to my face...

my tips 4 the last round bergers bulls north slime n/park hey toaster that was a bit harsh calling me an infant dont think my kids willbe happy

Yeah Jason Dean ad Florance with all cause trouble with their height floating forward should be interesting thou. Similar game styles also. Pretty similar ages to both clubs. Are bundy gonna be at full strength freddo??

Listen Bozo, it matters little who i barrack for, But just so you know - i'm just an everyday drunk in the crowd where ever a good match occurs.

Sometimes i'm the only drunk and there is no crowd and no match either, but I digress.

Anyways off the topic - I've been told by another unreliable, uncredible , and unbeliveable source, that Emma Randall (fringe player for the Aussie Opals) is the better half of a certain NFL big fella (i'm talking about his height not necessarily his length but one wonders) from down Olympic Village way.

This probably has no relevance to this thread at all, but boy would you sure like to tap it :D, thats if you could climb high enuff given she is all of 6ft4 in the old scale.

Hello Lads,

Been reading lately but nothing really to comment on..... until I read this. I can remember a couple of games your beloved Grossy was beaten. Think he averaged five kicked against him in 04/06 grannies. :D

Tigers looking good for threepeat I think, they are simply too good.

J&B, have two slabs on ice for you up here mate.

Go bergs

fair to say grossman did well last time against caddy, but i would hope north wouldn't be looking that far ahead, they were very ordinary last time against mont and i would hope they would have one mighty crack at mont tomorrow, then worry about bundoora.

Played on one leg in 04 or was that a pillow strapped to his hammy!

yes the height of the ruckmen will give the bulls trouble when they go down forward. had i think 2 or 3 regulars missing from todays game aswell as another injury today so unless they all come good they will be a little understrength but there will be no excuses come the match.

Tiger,

What's happening? Doesn't look good.

Regards

certainly were very poor today.have to learn to be more disciplined,i hardly ever see heidelberg and mont giving away 25 metre penalties, would not have been the difference today, but when you keep giving the opposition 25's,well it costs you.
hopefully d moore,d bramwich,b edwards,a assi and a martello will play next week.not sure if j green got reported but didn't see him today after he got sent off(think it was him,was well away from where i stood)
it's do or die next week boof,so i am sure they will throw everything at bundoora.all is not lost:thumbsu:

You will be out in straight sets anyway, all that money down the drain. Like a previous poster suggested, spend some money on ground renovations rather than throwing it all at Kingy, who can play mind you. You are looking at the imediate future, which for Mont is good, but where is your youth? Your young talent coming through? Banbury is probably the only one I can see being a good Div 1 footballer. If you look at the top 3 in Div 1, there 19's (youth) are no good. Heidelberg, bottom of ladder in 19's, Mont pathetic as are North Heidelberg. So you calling me stupid is like the kettle calling the pot black. Eltham, short term pain for long term gain, building a healthy young list that will in the very near future, be far and away a more successful club than Mont. All the best to you blokes but, sitting on your high horses at the moment, cant wait for you's to stumble at the last hurdle...yet again! :D

That was the dumbest post i have ever read on the internet. And im not kidding.

Look at monty a few years back didnt even make the finals. Theve rebuilt there team and now beat the Top team (bergers) and lost to them at bergs ground by 11 points. Do you expect every club to have a young team or something. Your an idiot way more successfull club in the future talk it up... whos on a high horse. Your in know position to talk Eltham doing shit.

Just stop posting everyone thinks your a tool and your giving a bad name to Eltham.

I was at that game and even though Grossy did a good job on Caddy he still did kick one five. Bundoora are a good chance this week i don't think nth are in the same form they were in last time they met. Eltham is a great venue for finals and i think a big crowd will be there this week to see a real great game of local footy.

Well lads, congrats on another quality Div 1 home and away season.

Disappointing way for the Slime to end the year. Went into the game just expecting to win and as we know in Div 1 if you underestimate someone or don't give your all you will be shown up. Congrats to west.

Still, great effort from the slime for the year over all. From Division 2 to 5th in Div 1 in only 2 years, not a bad effort and positive rebuilding signs for the club. Much to like at the Slime Pit and with some recruiting maybe they can finally break the stranglehold of the top 4 clubs in the finals. (And much to their shagrin, much better prospects than at Eltham:D)

Checked the results and unless i've had a few too many amber beverages, am i right in saying Diamond Creek scored one point in the first quarter and not at all for the rest of the match??? Wow.

Also a minor boilover with Eltham beating Northcote....

Monty flexed a little muscle today. Perhaps a better way to enter the finals than the Bergers? Time will tell.

Still think Norf will account for the Bulls this week but it may all be elemental as something would have to go drastically wrong for Mont or Bergers to miss the big one.

Early predictions:

Semi's:
Doggies by 4 goals.
Mont by 3 goals.

Prelim:
Heidelberg by 10 goals

THE BIG ONE:
Monty in Extra Time by 1 point! (Joffa best on ground, kendall best on the drink!)

2009 Ladder at Round 18:D
Monty
Heidelberg
Norf
Greensy
Bundy
Lalor
Northcote
Eltham
West Preston
Whittlesea

Watched the first quarter of North vs Mont yesterday and I think its safe to say Johnny Green won't be playing finals. As for the Heidelberg game, it was virtually the 19's playing with a couple of older heads so the result isn't really surprising. From what I gather they have had a shocking run with injurys but that's footy.
