well what chance does anyone have now. us losing most of our team and our expresidemt now going over to lakies. mind you we had our lake last week that ruined our down stairs rooms. looks like things have got worse. but its time to pick our ladders from what we can see.i will pick west preston ( unbeatable)
monty( perennial preseason champs}
bundoora ( with all their new signings)
northcote park
north heidelberg
the bergs( maybe just outta the 5 )
the slime
macleaod rosanna
whittlesea
eltham to go out.

now i'm not trying to be contoversial. but its my picks.we can only hope to stay up for one more year. www.heidelbergfc.com.au
IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT I HAVE NOT THANKED THOSE GENEROUS MONTY AND ELTHAM SUPPORTERS WHO CONTRIBUTED TO OUR AWAY ROOMS BUILDING FUND. thank you very much FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS AT THE DEN. i have been asked to see if you could now help us in our greatest need. because of the recent rains and flooding we are now looking again to our greatest friends the nfl community. so i am now launching the HEIDELBERG FOOTBALL CLUB SAVE US FROM THE FLOODS APPEAL. if every member of the opposing clubs puts in a dollar we will be able to replace the beautiful carpet that we had put into the new away rooms.so if you can show the generosity that we have shown to all you in the last ten years it would be well received.so please help us in what could be our last year in divvy 1.all contributions to a MR RIVER RAT AT www.heidelbergfc.com.au
get ready for our new web site which will be launched next week. much bigger and better than anything .one month to go see you all at footy training.

i am loving everyone on here writing eltham off already it actually brings a smile to my face knowing that the only player we lost was obviously big in varsamakis...but the signings we have had will bolster our side even further....eltham to finish top 5, once again

The much anticipated debut of the Anth at West preston may have to be delayed as pebbles has VFL committments that day, with Collingwood playing Northern Bullants at the same time.

How do people think the slime will go this season? Have stayed up in div1 for a few years now and most of them years they have been tipped to been the side to get relegated. They havnt lost any regular senior players to date and the younger blokes have now had 4 years of div1 footy.
Also have recruited well with Bongetti (EX VFL) Plummer (EX VFL & QAFL) Burns (Mernda) also regained Toomey and Wilson both B&F's whilst the club has been in division one and handy pick ups with Nick Riddle (Knights) and Craker and McCallum who have played seniors at Bundoora and Salmon from Whittlesea who has also played seniors. Anyone think they are a chance to make the 5 or will they just win enough games again to avoid relegation?

Practice Match

Shepparton Bears (GVFL) are looking for a practice match on the 19 March in Shepparton. Ground is booked and in great condition. Looking at playing both seniors and seconds. If anyone is interested please contact senior coach Matt Byers on 0413 489 429

Big chance to press for the 5 this year. From what I've seen of the slime in recent times they certainly have a crack but seemed to lack some focus up forward.Burns will give them something to kick to and if Craker can hold down a ruck position that will allow Toomey to play more as a permanant forward. The only other concern is that the other sides who will fill the top 5 have recruited well with the bergs to me the side to beat yet again.

I think the side to beat this year are the Roosters. Premiers of 2010 and will only get better with the recruitment of both Rocca and Goodwin. Can't see them getting beaten to be honest

I have to agree. WP are the sleeping giants of this competition. Throw Rocca into that side along with everyone they have retained plus a couple of other handy recruits they are going to very hard to beat.

Perhaps. The crystal ball indicates '2011 competitive comp'

Along with 'Greens, Mont/Eltham, NP and Bulls' The crystal ball is never wrong.

Some big exits there though, but they will be up there no doubt!.I still think the Bergs have something to prove after being hit by injuries at the worst time possible last year.Oh yeah and some very handy inclusions in Gay and Houlihan.Should make for some great games this year:thumbsu:

Local council are reaching into their pockets and a fence is to be installed at Yulong Park (No not around the park so put your coins away) A boundary fence is being installed within the next four weeks. Not only will make veiwing the game better but hopefully better for the players as well.

Also add Dean Haydock, Craig Whelan and Russ Lee in the bergs team. Gay did have a knee reco towards the end of last year whilst playing with Mooroopna. When will he become available?

Well done. About time someone caught-on and designed a simple and effective site around the Club colours. However, whats with the smallest font in the world? All the new sites are the same and its a ****ing annoying to read. IT w***ers.

Put your glasses on boof

The players page.

Still got Luke Stanton playing??. now at hberg

Will Boro coach brian cole still sponsor his opposition coach at Mont??

We have not given up on Stants or Jack ;)

Work in progress fbh work in progress mate .... Happy snaps of 2011 yet to be taken.

Still, it's a big improvement.

Reports out of West that Presti has signed on as well. Anyone heard anything about this?

With the BEST OF THE BEST Pre-Season Invitational coming up.
Who are your tips for:
- Football knockout
- Vertical Leap
- Push ups
- 20m Sprint
- Beep Test (Melbourne fittest footballer)

Must be some local knowledge around each club!

What's happening up at Whittlesea ? Other than Rocky Collins, it seems the external recruitment has been a bit quiet.

Also noticed the Josh Nixon is going to Ovens & Murray comp. What's the go there ??

Would hate to see Whittlesea come up for only 1 season....
