I have heard a similar rumour in regards to Bayswater, I'm positive both these rumours (Bayswater and Doncaster) are bullshit. At worst and most probably unlikely, Doncaster may request to drop down two divisions, which will mean that Boronia will be promoted (assuming they win the flag in that particular division). Bayswater will also be fine, they fielded three teams every round this season. From what I've been told directly, they struggle to find volunteers for various roles at their club and this is the only issue they have.

Wouldn’t even make much sense. As promoted as relegated clubs have shown, there’s not a huge gap in D1 to D2 (as probably even a bit of D3).

Pointless dropping an extra division.

Same thing happened at Mount Waverley (SFL) a few years back when the entire playing list up and moved to Fairpark en masse.
Wasnt that many in the end. They beat us (Coldy) in the prelim that year and i think only 5 or 6 Mount Waverley players played in the game. I think it ended up being about 12 players all up but 3 or 4 came mid season. And Gough was already there the previous year.

Their players spread everywhere.

Was still enough to win Fairpark the flag however.

I haven't heard that Bayswater rumour. Find that hard to believe.

Isn't most of the Doncaster talk based around people wanting South Belgrave and Boronia to be promoted? Ive heard Donvale will also apply to the league to be promoted again, providing they win of course.

Pretty poor to be 8:20PM on a Saturday where there are finals played & several of the games with no final scores.
I’m not sure how that can happen? Do the league still have a timekeeper overseeing the 2 from the clubs? Surely they can put the scores up at the end of the game?

It is P... Poor. We've been complaining all year about the scores and even though it is a requirement of the League, nothing has been done. I guess the only thing to be done is for other supporters to complain directly to the League at:

I wonder if it's the same Anthony Goodwin who use to coach Mulgrave a few years back.

He’s Under 19 coach at Doncaster.

Reckon the Sharks will be happy to see the back of 2023.
Anthony Goodwin facing 4 charges. attempting to strike an Umpire, intentionally making contact with, or striking, an Umpire, using abusive, insulting, threatening or obscene language x 2. o_O
Charges should equate to 16 weeks or over, and de-registered like a player. Looks like the game was called off judging off the scores, if the umpire is physically attacked obviously thats the way its going to go. Heard this maggot is supposed to be doncasters res coach next year, highly doubt it now.

Forget 16 weeks, if he’s found guilty of striking an umpire then he’s gone for many years.

But hard to know exactly what “striking” or attempting to strike means without having seen it… could be something like the old making contact with an umpire, doesn’t necessarily mean he’s belted him, which would be the worst case.

What makes you think the game was called off?

If you have a look, Rowville was awarded the biggest win of the round (50-92), also no best or goal scorers named. Whenever the scores look like 0.0.50 to 0.0.92 that means there has been a forfeit, a game's been called off or a team has lost through ineligibility

Outside looking in it seems doncaster's coach lost the plot after going 0-17 and the seniors and reserves not much better.

How can you get reported if no game played.Doncaster have not played a U19 game since R12 because of shortages in the reserves.
