Unfortunately Ray is the Prix father.
Different perspective now no doubt LFG.
Thanks Bobby. Was not sure what the connection was (if there was any). Certainly feel for him and think it would be better to have no Baird involved in the media coverage regardless. A fresh start is needed for all concerned. Still cannot fathom how that scumbag could do what he did to his father.

I have to agree with GMac on this. Totally unfair to punish Ray because his son is an @rsehole. Strange statement really. In one sentence you want to get rid of Ray because of his son and in the next sentence you cannot fathom how Ray's son could do that to him. Doesn't look like Ray wins either way in your suggestion.

What are the rules around clearances. I noticed that some players have played for a new club while there clearance is still pending not just in the Efnl but other leagues as well

There was an issue late last week where transfers were approved from a players former club (it could be seen on the transfer in the database), but were not coming through on the automated league part of the system, so they were essentially stuck until they were manually processed by the leagues themselves. Some were still waiting to be processed on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

EFNL advised that players were OK to play if they could see their transfer was approved by their former club, or if they had written approval from their former club in a email or text message etc.

Fair call Cliff. My reasoning was behind the whole s.it show and perhaps it was better for all parties concerned to move on and start afresh. In some situations some clear air is better for all concerned.

More than strange really.

I had Ray umpire a few games of cricket I played years ago and I'll always remember the day he came up to me after a game and told me how well I batted.

One of the nicest guys going around.

Paywalled (seriously why is local news and footy paywalled?!?) so can’t post but the synopsis is that Ram stadium being upgraded as part of rail loop which is 3k from there…

Personally as a resident I am not against if they are fixing the rooms for the old ground so it can be utliised again!

Just part of the Herald Sun's (ultra successful) war on Dan.

All clubs and community groups were advised of it, it was for groups with 5km of the new station sites. EB are 3.5km from Glen Waverley station.

No rooms sorry though Hansie... $10k don't buy you much!

East Burwood Football and Netball Club won $10,750 to run training programs with AFL stars and recruit more players back to the sport following Covid-19

I think EB put on clinics to try to get juniors in so it was probably spent on that.

It's basically a fund to benefit local people disrupted by the SRL build.

I'd say Glen Waverley Rovers were the big winners (Mulgrave juniors?).,, $45k for a new scoreboard!

Cheers thanks bunk. Yep rovers essentially are mulgrave juniors - they are the last standing from what was the Waverley junior league - there was a whole comp based around the Waverley area which was rovers, Glen Waverley hawks, northvale (my old club), Brentwood (worst colours ever) and through to oakleigh and Prahran

Both Kyle Martin and gun recruit Shane McDonald have torn ACLs. Two huge outs for the season for Noble Park.

Apparently it appears on Saturday Cliff is what I’ve been told 3rd hand. Wish they would stop fr1ggin around with the game day site.
It’s worse now than it was 5 years ago.

Change just for the sake of it? Pointless!!
Looks like the points posting man has slept in Bob. The blokes doing my reno haven't.
Did the 3rd hand happen to mention a particular Saturday?

I didn't hear a thing about this and hadn't heard he had been charged by the EFNL either. I'm a little surprised. He's still local footballer. When AFL footballs f*ck up they have a heap of support around them to protect them.

Former Glen Waverley Football Club player suspended over Mad Monday scandal

A former Glen Waverley footy player has been slapped with a hefty suspension after he was involved in a public sex act during wild Mad Monday celebrations.

A local footy player has been slapped with a hefty suspension after he was involved in a lewd public sex during Mad Monday celebrations.
Shocking video footage of the incident widely circulated on social media last year that involved players at Glen Waverley Football Netball Club.

The video showed a player exposing his genitalia before another man performed a sex act on him at the Mountain View Hotel on August 14, 2022.

The player was found guilty of breaching Eastern Football Netball League’s statement of rules 6.1.1 “conduct unbecoming of a member” after an investigation was completed in March.

He was handed a suspension of eight matches for the 2023 season which began last week.

The suspended player was forced out of Glen Waverley but signed with Oakleigh District Football Netball Club.

It’s understood the video of the sex act was filmed by another player who then forwarded it to a mate.

It was then uploaded to a Mad Monday page on Facebook which posts wacky celebrations of football and netball clubs around the country.

The scandal went viral, making international headlines with the story splashed across TMZ and the New York Post.

The club received heavy backlash – sponsors pulled the pin and parents withdrew their kids out of the junior programs.

In February, the club announced it would not field a senior men’s team this year.
