Clubs are naming all their teams on social media and jeez there looks to be some battles. Norwood with 19 in the reserves. Doncaster named 15!

How can Premier clubs be so short of players...
Geez that’s frightening for a Premier club! I almost fell off my chair the other day when I learnt that Old Xavs (VAFA a grade) have 6 open age Mens sides. Seniors, Reserves and 4 x Thirds (Clubbies) sides 😱😱

Ridiculous isn't it. You can add one or two Under 23 teams to that, and 4x Under 19s some years.

It's a joke, what do they want, entire leagues made up of teams from one "club"?

The VAFA will never put a stop to this shit however, wouldn't want to see a player go to a local club.

Think the vafa gave the 23s the much needed Tijuana this year bunk…

However that minor detail doesn’t change your post too much or my solid agreement with the points you make!

Hard to believe Vermont lost by 15 goals, to East Ringwood. Is that correct.Lets add Oakliegh Districts beating Warrandyte by 82 points.

Looks like the bluebirds really laid the smack down on the eagles…

Burners rolled donny east and their massive payroll!

Can't imagine it's easy to recruit players for reserves for clubs without the depth of a Vermont or Blackburn. Not only do you get pumped every week but you get the pleasure of paying for the privilege. Not a particularly appealing option for your Saturday afternoons.

Still amazed at the evenness of the middle divisions and the varying results week to week.

Div 2
  • UFTG huge win against Ringwood has turned the division on its head.
  • Amazing it looks already that 6 teams in a battle to both avoid DOUBLE relegation and to finish 5th and play finals. Mulgrave, East Burwood, Ringwood, UFTG, The Basin & Knox
  • Knox does seem to be a short priced favorite to take one of the 2 relegation spots however.
  • Waverley Blues are a genuine premiership threat, their scoring power is something else, and they have not even played the bottom sides yet in Knox, Ringwood, UFTG or The Basin.

Div 3
  • Warrandyte lose to Oakleigh by 82 points
  • Whitehorse knocks off the unbeaten FTG.
  • Coldstream really disappointing, huge loss to Donvale, worse game i have seen them play since the 2019 prelim annihilation. Something feels a little off there currently, will need to turn it around quickly.
  • Silvan a great win against Fairpark, looks like they have adjusted to Div 3 well although was told by a Silvan man that Fairpark played the second half with no bench and played the last quarter with only 17 players on the field.
  • if the bottom side wasn't Warrandyte they would be odds on to be relegated but surely they have to get on some kind of run on. They are playing Fairpark this week and if they cant win that, then it might be all over for them.

What on earth has happened to Warrandyte?

Their full forward Ryan Phillips hasn't played the last 2 games. He is a big loss for them, unsure what the story is. Tom Grimes, i think is their captain was injured in a incident against Coldstream. One of the Coldstream players copped a lengthy suspension from it but Grimes hasnt played since.

Agree. And Waverley and East Burwood have shown how close those divisions are. If you’re good in D3 then you’re likely to be bloody good in D2.

Not to mention South Belgrave who just won flags in D3 and D2 and are now on top undefeated in D1. They have beaten Montrose and Wantirna South and are probably the team to beat in D1 this year.

So Ringwood won? Home team puts the scores in so don't know whats happened there
With putting scores on is the home club the only one can do.,One of my pet hates if I can not go to an away game I would like to see the progress scores even if at the end of each quarter.Realise you need a volunteer to do and is that hard any way.
