I am just interested to know who they are as from my perspective I have been to nearly every training session at Heyfield and apart from two players off the top of my head everyone that played a senior game last year who is in the senior plans for Heyfield has been to training, or had a valid reason not too when they have not been in attendance ie exams, work or been away.

I took a potential player to training on Friday night and remarked on the way over that I would expect there will be four people training (as it was pissing it down) we were amazed when we arrived that again there was over thirty people training in the wet.

Not too sure about who you have heard that rumour off, and I can't guarantee that everyone is happy but 99% of the playing group and club are extremely excited by what Coxy has and will bring to the club, personally I think this is already reflected in the training attendances and by who has actually trained.

Lies......

Will Kelly has gone to Maffra and a couple of other players have yet to decide what they are doing because Coxy has told them they arent gettin paid if they dont commit themselves as paid players should.

I didnt realise he was so professional when it came to footy becuase he comes across as a bit of a larikan

I think it has been pretty obvious that Heyfield and in particular Adrian have made a point of having committed players playing under him.

Regardless of whether they are paid or not the football club seems to be vigilant in its approach to players demands, desires and professionalism for not only this year but years to come.

Have not actually heard any names of players not happy with the appointment of cox but u know what this time of year is like with all the rumours flying around, but if ur involved in the club nugget1985 then i will take ur word for it.

The rumours may have come from the fact that Rosedale are trying to poach a few of our players.

Lies......

Shut up Mini Wog!!!

Well you have said that some of them are training with Buln Buln maybe they are wanting a change? Good offer maybe too? Do they live in melbourne?

Pretty dissapointing news for Gormandale to lose those players if true.

only heard of renton and janesch and trease leaving, however have now heard trease is staying. trease has been living in darwin. Im pretty sure stockdale is staying but plays cricket in melbourne so will not be doing a pre season.
Any more news? Havnt heard much about cowwarr, churchill or boisdale

I have heard today that jaensch has signed with buln along with elliot rusler also heard a few of there close mates might be following them there from gormy if the club doesn't recruit this season

Cowwarr have had Ben Morrow training with them and another player who came second in the seconds best and fairest. Ryan Sandy has been training too, whilst David Ivey is pulling on the boots for Cowwarr.

As is mentioned in other threads they have lost a couple back to the Mid Gippsland league.

Where is Morrow and Sandy from?

Morrow is from Moe, not sure about Sandy I think he played football previously at Traralgon.

Has Morrow or Sandy signed or just having a run? Who is the other bloke training?

Don't know and don't know, all i know is apparently he came second in Moe's twos best and fairest!

Big Cigar, Can you confirm that Tom Mcqualter is playing at Chruchill?

Also heard Solohub is not playing at Woodside.

Ryan Sandy has been with the club for a number of years. He has played a handful of games in the reserves after playing with Rosedale & Glengarry prior to that.

Keep that name in mind as the year goes on. He was on a par with Jay Neagle when they were kids. Neagle had the Father/Son and Sandy had the Grog/Girls. If he gets fit and plays properly he could be anything in the North Gippy.

Cowwarr also have Stasinowsky back after his season at Sale. Not a great move the one to Sale, but he wanted to try his luck. Will be massive for the Saints.

Shows the level of country footy where you recruit a couple or lose a couple and you can go from top to bottom or vice versa in 12 months. Cowwarr in: Ivey, Stasinowsky, Sandy with Bence and possibly Morrow. Lost only Dobson.
Gormandale out: Renton, Jaensch, Russler (won't lose any sleep), Adams and possible Hegarty, Stockdale and Burgess. In: Voss (from work duties in 2010).

Could simply swap spots in 2011... Surely the case in many leagues...

Where is the 2nd most talented Burgess brother playing?

Agreed with everything that was written. Put a line through Gormy for the finals. I still find it staggering that they couldn't recruit a high profile Coach to take over a list that was only a player or 2 away from a flag. Country footy goes in peaks and troughs - it's been 16 years since their last flag, and may be another 10-15 before they get a chance at another.

Cowwarr or TTU will take Gomy's spot, with Glen also under a bit of pressure to keep their spot in the 5.

Not that I am aware of Nugget. Havent landed any big guns at all really.

Holt from Yinnar will be a very good forward for us if he stays fit but thats about it. Our year will depend on the development of our young kids and wheteher they can handle the step up to senior level.

Despite losing some good players we will be very competitive, but like Heyfield last year a few injuries will stop us pretty quick without the depth of past years.

Sandy was a good junior along with millions of kids who were good junior players but dont make it as a senior footballer. So to be talking of him as a big pick up for cowwarr i find quite amusing as he i dont think he has ever played a senior game for any club.

Tom McQualter is assistant coach at Tgon.

Has recommited at Sale. Unless something changes dramatically I think we will see him playing at Sale.

Cowwarr may improve but to suggest they will finish second after the home and away season and lose in a prelim final is a bit questionable from a team that finished seventh last year and at this stage that has added a seconds ruckmen from Moe, a gun player who hasn't played seriously or continuosly for a few seasons and two forwards that are getting on with age (if Bencey plays)

If we compare apples with apples, Sale City came from about the same position to win the flag last year but the talent they added was unbelieveable Josh Tollner (best midfielder in East Gippsland), Justin Mclay (Premiership player at Sale, SAFL player and Vic Country player) Matthew Lutze (played at Woodville West Torrens) Jake Milham (Premiership player from Maffra) and Joel Brayshaw (Vic Country Under 18 player) on top of players like Nick Hider, Jacob Schuback, Beau Wilson, Adam Brander, meant they had the talent to do great things last year.

Nugget, I wasn't suggesting that Cowwarr are a Preliminary Final side, merely that it only takes a couple of changes in personnel for a team to drastically improve or decline in country footy.

And those changes will be found in both Cowwarr and Gormandale leading into the season proper.

Sale City will still be by far flag favourites...

I took this as that they will swap spots on the ladder.

I agree Sale City will be flag favourites.

I heard Hegarty was dissapointed that he did not get coaching role and that was the reason he is leaving.

There was a rumour going around that he may have been offered a coaching position at mirboo north but he has definately still be training out at gormandale.

Heard yesterday that TTU had 53 blokes at training a few days ago. Anyone confirm this?
If so, not bad numbers for this time of year.

What is the situation with Boisdale Briag? Heard they might have been in a bit of trouble numbers wise?
