Seems the wind sock got a stern talking to , and advised not to blow left , the score board got abused for not retaining scores after a loss ( to remind Sam and Brodie what is required) , the net ballers got reminded about who and what really matters, and Mr hill advised the grass was not cut to his ( Larry’s) standard . So Albury’s spectator drive has been successful then? Gone from 9 to 30, that’s a decent % increase!

Curious to see the BM and O&M Live’s mock up best Corowa side. Still a few possible points in hand, however the most notable thing for me was that less than half the side are locals/likely to be there medium to long term. If Braedtke plays mostly VFL which is what we are hearing, how do they kick a winning score each week. A lot of pressure falls onto Hope. Roos and Clayton aren’t those damaging goal kicking mids the best sides have and they don’t seem to have many other damaging tall forward options?

I doubt that’s the Best side they can put on the park.

It’s going to be absolutely fascinating how this season plays out for CRFNC.
Its biggest single investment (the coach) has delivered with an influx of players.
We can debate the merits of whether it’s sustainable or not, but the club is relevant again and will be in the spotlight. That alone should translate into bums on seats.
How much they improve in terms of W/L is of great interest.
The number of teams in finals window is 8/9 with the obvious exception being Raiders.
I will bet my last penny the other clubs in comp won’t be as caring, sympathetic if CRFC makes finals and wants to hang onto close to 50 points in 2026 knowing they have a coach who is a recruiting magnet.
Roll on early April.

Think the Geelong boys were some of the first to sign up even last year. Heard they are a good bunch of loyal locals. Playing in the 2s won’t be such a pain at Corowa this year the way they have recruited, think they’d be happy for any type of club success no matter the grade.

I think you’ll find that the coach will be selecting the best 21 players available on ability , not because they’re local and are good blokes who are travelling to play
