I've backed TIO the last couple WFA but stayed out of the race with the weight back to handicap level, that would be the reason for the odds.

Yeah there were few put off because of the weight even though he has flogged those very same horses repeatedly all Spring.

Paris you 💎. Thank you 🙏

I am glad the Australian punting community was smart enough to realise the Europeans have been doing it the right way for years - I honestly thought it would drift on the day because of the prep but they obviously knew what they had under the bonnet. Travelled like a bomb the whole way round and kicked there heads in - most exciting derby winner I can remember for some time - now lets hope he can go on with it.

Artorious troubles the winner if it jumps and settles midfield with a nice sit........ instead of snookered way back with no clear running till last 100.

Jesus wept - the winner has fair dinkum lapped them - this is probably why the horse keeps getting backed despite being completely unable to win against a bog average 3yo crop.

Serious question

Why in gods name doesn’t Puke ride more horses in The Williams stable like that?

Utter peach of a ride, rather than the usual setting it last or trying to weave through 10 horses trying to ride like a megastar

Long story short, it's owner preference. It also suits him as he's better on them when he's quiet. If he can be quiet and get them to winning position he's basically unbeatable.

I hate to think how many more winners Peters would have if all his horses were trained by Gai and ridden to her instructions

They're going to have to look at the weight scale these 4yo's getting in with.

He's going to picket fence his 3yo season, bolt in in an Asian Beau and get in on minimum. Should not be happening. Topped out at 97 Official handicap rating on my scale in Lex Piper and went around today bettering that and only started at 92 OHR. Could make a case should be 100+ by end of 3yo season. Should be 102 minimum come monday but will be lucky to be 98.

Johnny get angry going in with 53 on tuesday ffs.

i know i am in the minority but i like the way he rides them. Always thought using energy to get a position early is over rated because you are more chance of getting caught wide or over racing. Reckon he wins a lot more this way. its not his fault half his horses are hugely under the odds

This is very true. Which is why Perth is usually impossible to punt

Stats show that riding back in the field absolutely kills your win % regardless of how good or bad a horse is

I dont think I have ever had more winners on top and lost more money than today. 7 of 11 winners on top and its close to a strip out.

Who come up with the favourites day mean punters go home happy bullshit.
