I never understood his appointment to the board in the first place, he's not done anything outstanding in business, nor did he have extensive football department experience, so what knowledge would he have brought to head up the Football Committee?
he played during the dark days get him outta there ffs

He was our token footy person on the board. Benny's yes man. That is all. Nice guy though.

With audit fees you definitely cannot. Consulting fees are another matter. But firms will take things like Brownlow promotion into account when quoting.

Pre-review, lay persons understanding:
So we have an accountant on the board but we went to an accounting firm to get answers that is unbelievable.
Post-review, club comms:
As part of this review, independent external consultant Craig Mitchell, from Ernst & Young’s Sports Advisory Practice, was engaged to assist with the process.

Craig has conducted a range of performance evaluation projects for, and on behalf of, a number of elite sporting organisations, including the AFL Research Board, AFL clubs, Cricket Australia, Australian Sports Commission, Swimming Australia and Sport and Recreation Victoria.

The scope of the review was to examine the key aspects that impact the Club’s on-field performance, and to make recommendations to the Board to help the Club deliver sustained success into the future.

The review – which has taken more than 10 weeks to complete – included data analysis, comparative benchmarking and consultation with key stakeholders within the Club, including representatives from the Board, management, football operations, coaching, IT, list management, player welfare and the playing group.
Post-review, AFL comms:
The Tigers' review was conducted with the help of external consultant Craig Mitchell, from Ernst and Young's sports advisory practice.

The club said the 10-week review had taken in data analysis, comparative benchmarking and consultation with key stakeholders within the club.

I'd say E&Y would be happy with the advertising.

My wife used E and Y for an audit of a listed company and cost around 300 k obviously in relation to numbers etc , so I'm assuming this one at the club would be a lot less.
Someone with more knowledge than me could confirm this but anything involving numbers you're going to pay more due to QA, Governance, Liability. I'd suggest 100-200% costs on top.

No I haven't, that's why I haven't been making silly rants about it like you have.

silly rants? man we have been taken for a ride for the last 7 years and now they are stating that we are identifying what stuctures we have wrong and so far there have been changes in every ****ing part of the structure. Rant? **** no wonder we get to the point where we are a basket case..

Hmm the review had nothing to do with Balmes appointment an appointment that the opposing ticket also wanted yet are criticised for coming out and saying they wanted him.
Lets be brutally honest here Balmy would still be at Colonwood if eddie and the board had not shafted him in recent weeks.

The review covered three areas
1/ Data analysis.
2/ Comparative bench marking
3/ consultation with key stake holders within the club. The same stake holders who set the parameters for the review,

In effect the review has been responsible for what.
Not Balmes appointment, That announcement has come at a very convenient time for the board it takes away attention from the boards recommendations and the challenges it was facing. Not the sacking of assisstent coaches who were also conveniently sacked before the review was finished. These people were sacked at a time when the club was desperate to be seen to be doing something So much for waiting on review results . Seems it was okay to make some decisions before said review was handed down and not alright to make others.

Literally the only thing that has happened from this review to date is a literal shuffling of the deck chairs.
There has not been one sacking, no one has put their hand up and actually taken responsibility for not just this yrs abysmal performances, but the previous yrs very obvious failings.
All that has happened from this review to date is, there has been some role changes and a few demotions.

100k or 500k seems an awful lot of money to find out all that is needed is a change of roles for those who have failed abysmally for so many years.

it is no longer funny. yet people just dont question this club, it is like they never learn and it is okay for our boards and f/d's to do the same sort of things they have done for the last 30 years.
You would think that after all that time people would be more than just a little keen to question what happens, it seems not.

As a group of supporters we get what we deserve when we fail to question what is happening and what has happened. Imo far too many fail to do either.
What is worse people actually defend what is totally unacceptable.

How anyone can be content with what this current board and its f/d have served up ON FIELD not just this year but the last 7 yrs is beyond belief.

So all good then?

It appears so. the review says there is not too much wrong at all lol. one wonders if the review has delivered the desired result or we just paid out all that money for fun. .
Did it?
You read the review?
What did it say about Dimma?
Nearly everyone has has either lost their job or had their job changed / redefined.

You seem to do a lot of posing as the clear eyed visionary in the land of the blind.
But you make a lot of stuff up or confuse your opinion with fact.

Eddie Everywhere just signed up on a 3 game membership for us.Good to get anybit of money out of Eddie but the information he receives from your suggested email would be worth more than the 66 bucks he just handed over dude.;)

Yeah your right he must have wanted in on our forensic review. I mean clearly showed signs of mismanagement and he thought he might have gotten the goss on Dimmas game plan and what the forensic review said about it. Don't forget it was across all facets of footy ;)
