Sorry for the intrusion, just a little info on Cam.

Pedersen is a 193 cm, 100kg utility, can play forward and can drift into defense, as well as pinch hit in the ruck.

We picked him up in 2010 for selection 17 in the rookie draft, starved of opportunities this year and has been extremely good for Werribee. Could see a pick anywhere from late 20's to early 40's being sufficient enough to get the deal done if your after him.

There are many posts on Norfs board saying that the reason Pederaen isn't getting games is because he is am absolute dickhead. Arrogant, cocky, overconfident etc etc.

We should go hard at Quinten Lynch IMO

Lol, that is absolutely no reason to not get picked for an AFL team.

I didn't believe it at first either, but "pages" of posts by different users have speculated that he has an absolute shit personality. To quote, "even if Petrie or Goldy (Goldstein) was injured, Pedo wouldn't be recalled."

I don't mind the idea of QLynch, we need another big forward who can kick goals.

Just thought I'd add a little on Cam.

Cam is certainly discontent with how this season has panned out for him personally. He would consider himself unlucky (rightly so) to not have played more games at senior level, and there are rumours suggesting he has been unashamedly unhappy with his lack of opportunity.

His 2011 form was very solid. He acquitted himself extremely well in Rd 1 when he was the late inclusion for Goldstein against the Eagles @ Subi (pretty much our best). He returned to the squad to play as a defender before playing more game time forward where he influenced many games.

I thought I would add a few highlights for you all to peruse. 2:20 and 4:16

He was a key to our victory vs the Bombers. 7:41 shows as TPM said his ability to take a contested grab and kick truly (he's a very sound set shot). 9:19 and 11:52 is the key contested mark in the goal square that helped secure the win.

You would be hard pressed to find a North supporter that believed he wouldn't have gone on with his 2011 form.

He's a ready-made utility. Versatile, with solid pace and agility, really good set of hands with a penetrating kick. Good set shot and solid work-rate.

I would prefer to keep him, but if he wants more senior football, I would be happy for him to find that elsewhere.

Not necessarily just based on how many goals he has kicked, but his overall impact on games and his versatility to play almost any role is extremely valuable to any side.

Good point, though part of our problem is we don't have enough players who can excel in specific team roles, I just don't think we need any more 'versatile talls' to add alongside Dunn, Watts, Garland, Martin, Sellar and co. I doubt Pederson would offer anything more than those guys to be honest.

Thanks Hunters Host, good sales pitch there, certainly sold me anyway. Wouldn't be the worst pickup for us, would love a big forward to match the tallness and athleticism of Clark.

Certainly a lot more talls at North to compete against for a posistion in the forward line than we have.

Strongly agree with this... Versatility is good in the right amounts, but if we end up with 5 or 6 jack-of-all-trades types I'm not sure it's a positive. Some players need a settled role... And for the good of the team as well.

Def this. Why would we consider trading for another fringe tall who has no position.

Yep. Bate, Petterd, Dunn etc. A little bit of everything, a lot of nothing.

Sarcasm my good man.

And if by good value you mean a round 5 selection then sure. But pick 23 or so?? That can Fornicated!

I know, I was trying the old reverse sarcasm hah!!

I honestly don't know exactly what the Mark Neeld plan and structure is so in reality it's actually pretty hard to comment negatively about any rumoured pick up put forth. As for all we know Pederson may exactly fit a role which Neeld has. It's very easy for us to say no to a player because we think they lack whatever attributes, but putting into perspective Neeld's gameplan and structure, and what may or may not be done in Trade and FA period, the Pederson's and the Byrne's may be exactly what the club is after.

Except we have a Pedersen already, who appears to be of better character and tall enough to play the second ruck role with ease.
