my thoughts:
Jesse white - id like to pick him up, think he would be a nice option
Henderson - wouldn't mind him, just think he may be overpriced at pick 27
Taylor adams - I'd pass if we had to give up 10 or 11 but would ship shaw for him
Karnezis - Im extremely keen on getting him to pies... should be cheap too.
Shuey- nice thought, would cost way to much
Podsiadly- no
CHapman- 2 yr deal would be ok i guess

Id love to hit the draft with 10 and 11 and pick up 2 of sheed, crouch, bontempelli or kade kolijtnfuencjfe

Thread title spelling fixed, that's official.

Wonder where Heater ends up? Clubs lining up for him says SEN.

Just won't look right in any other colours, I love the guy and hope he ends up somewhere that's he's happy.

So what are we expecting today??

Personally I think the only things to come out of it will be:

1. Blues lodge paperwork for Thomas

2. Adams nominates us or Geelong.

I think our trading won't really kick in until we know whats happening with Shaw and whether Adams nominates us.

Once we know what we get for SHaw, then we can move on Adams (could even be a straight swap which is my ideal trade because at least we are not sending Shaw to a contender).

We also need to wait for confirmation on Daisy's compensation.

Once that's done, our 2nd round pick will go to either Henderson or White. Ideally Henderson is a 2nd rounder and White a third...but I get the feeling White's price will be a 2nd rounder as well.

Forget about Shuey, aint going anywhere.

Further to my above post, I think this year more trades are going to happen earlier.

All teams have had a week to jostle and negotiate unlike previous years where trade period happened straight after the granny.

So I think we need to strike in the first few days before other sides get their deals done and then start looking at the players still available who we are after.

So have we signed up White, Henderson, Karnezis, Adams and Chapman yet?

If not, what's the god damned hold up!

With a host of Melbourne based clubs apparently chasing Shaw there would seem little rationale in thinking he would be traded to GWS for Adams as some have suggested. Shaw will choose where he wants to go, which will be most likely a Melbourne based club, and then we will need to try and figure out the best deal we can get, which will hopefully be a first round pick somewhere between 10-20

I really hope we do not use any first or second round picks to pick up recycled players like Karnezis, Henderson or White. Don't get me wrong happy for them to join the PIES as long as we do not pay overs. Got a long few weeks ahead

Our best result is sending SHaw to GWS I reckon.

It means he goes to a non-contender so it won't bite us too much if he dominates. I'd also think that its pretty fair return for both clubs considering we'd probably have to on-trade any pick we got for Shaw to GWS for Adams...or trade pick 11.

Shaw is probably worth a pick 15-pick 18, whereas Adams is still worthy of a pick 13. So it would be a win for us...but a win for GWS because they bolster their defence and get a readymade leader.

It's just convincing Shaw to go. Perhaps if they also take Didak it could convince him.
