Tackle numbers alone tell a story of how bad Melb are in this game and in Contested poss

I’m getting a distinct whiff of Dont-give-a-shit-itis from the Dees which is certainly padding out the Bulldogs scores as you’ve said

I can’t help but feel the biggest losers out of Trel’s arrival are Bont spending more time forward and B.Smith/Lipinksi types getting less mid rotations. Could be wishful thinking on my part though. In the end we’re all guessing with Bevo; it’s a mind that’s impossible to read.
Yeah will be interesting to see the CBA's once this game is done

As bad as Melbourne have been, I do like that the Doggies have cracked in and had a real go in this. They’ve looked the most engaged side out of all the pre season games for mine. Think we can assume this is a genuine dress rehearsal for them, with the one obvious exception of Treloar still to come in

Would love to see the pressure gauge from all the preseason games because i could almost see Melb being at the bottom and Dogs being at the top

Ok I might be reading way too much into a PS game here, but this whole Max spending more time forward thing is starting to look real.

Grundy and ROB looked awful but at least their roles were the same as always and you can forgive them one bad score and chalk them up to not giving a crap about a pre-season run around. A role change for Max would be a catastrophe for those that paid $944,000 for him expecting another 120+ average

If Melb don't have Maxy playing 80%+ in the ruck they are wasting the biggest weapon they have.

He has also scored 84 from 82% tog whilst resting forward a lot

Yeah true. It makes no sense hey. Probably over thinking it. He’s not in my team regardless, but I’d be just a little nervous (not full on alarm bells) if he was

When Preuss got traded to them a few years ago all preseason they pretty much split the ruck and yet come round one Preuss wasn't named so hopefully they are just doing that again.
