Dunkley back in the mix or does Bevo put us off him?
You will not find a Bulldogs midfielder (or a midfielder forced to play forward) in my team this season because of one Luke Beveridge.

I wouldn't trust him to look after the next door neighbours cat.

I am sitting between fu** Bevo yay Dunks and Melb being so sh*t scores are inflated for the Dogs so who knows. But god i wish i could pick him safely

Exact same mentality here. Who the f*ck knows, is where I'm at right now, haha

Hahaha. As I was saying, pick all of them or pick none of them...there is no in between

I have loved reading your assessments of Dunkley this pre season. I have not agreed with every single one of them (most of them though to be fair), but they have been hugely entertaining so cheers. I love it when someone takes a position on a player and goes hard at it

Caleb Daniel is the one I’m really liking

Exactly what I was worried about happening, is happening. Nevermind the Doggies boys, my main concern is this crap where Maxy is playing forward. He has Meek first up, so it's hard not to pick him...but...they seriously look like they almost need him as a target up forward, due to their completely dysfunctional forward line.

Right now, it's pretty much Petracca, Gawn, Lever, May, Fritsch and a wayward Langdon, against the entire Doggies lineup

The thing to bear in mind with Dunks is that he went 95+ last year despite a syndesmosis injury and having a shocking role. If you can go 95 with both those factors against you then safe to say that is his floor this year as Cotchy9 said above.

If his floor is 90-95 but his ceiling is 110-120 if the role is there, you could make the case he is actually a much safer pick than many are saying.

I am well and truly talking myself into this.

His scoring has dropped away alarmingly since a barnstorming start. Is this ruck sharing thing with Jackson just a pre season thing to keep him in cotton wool, or will we see it once the season starts as well? I mean he has an easy start to the year, does that make the Dees even less likely to need him in the ruck and more likely to get some ruck time into Jackson?

These are the $944,000 questions.

All true, except that he also has to contend with Treloar this year. Adds in another negative against his name. You could then his ceiling is diminished somewhat

I could see Maxy going 100+ round one even with sitting forward(hope not) and if he does sit forward you would seriously need to consider trading him out.

I can’t help but feel the biggest losers out of Trel’s arrival are Bont spending more time forward and B.Smith/Lipinksi types getting less mid rotations. Could be wishful thinking on my part though. In the end we’re all guessing with Bevo; it’s a mind that’s impossible to read.
