Can we seriously just package up Bevo + Libba and ship them off to some irrelevant team.

New coach comes in and plays Macrae, Dunks, Treloar, Bont pure on ball. Hunter/B Smith wings. Why can’t it be that easy

I actually dont know why they perservere with Libba. So injury prone. Probably an emotional attachment to the club.

But surely they'd rather dunks stay than Libba?

It's official, Zac Williams will not play Round 1 - just announced then

Shuffle accordingly
Might hold him on the bench IF I can get coverage.
I had dumped him for Clark after the incident but reshuffled and got Z.W back)
He'll be rearing to go come round 2..

Then again, how good was Macrae and Dunkley... and Daniel and Bevo for throwing out the bait.

Stef Martin seems to take a lot of pressure off English. Shame English isn't cheap this year.

With Libba being defensive minded he’s ideally meant to compliment all the ball hunters. It’s a nice concept and all but when a Dunkley provides similar pressure whilst giving far more on the offense side I’m also puzzled as to why the persistence. Him being in there also stunts the growth of B Smith Lipinksi etc to a certain extent. When Essendon came sniffing for Dunkley they’d have done well to give them Libba instead and get a half decent forward in return.

Anyone rate Isaac Quaynor enough at $500k to be a straight D3 swap for $600k Zac Williams then reinvest the extra 100 elsewhere. I reckon IQ will step up this season and put up 85s on average.

If you're going to back in a roughie Pies defender I'd be taking Noble.

But honestly I think there's a wealth of choices now for defenders that you don't need to take such risks on unknowns there (other than under 300k of course).

Ok I might be reading way too much into a PS game here, but this whole Max spending more time forward thing is starting to look real.

Grundy and ROB looked awful but at least their roles were the same as always and you can forgive them one bad score and chalk them up to not giving a crap about a pre-season run around. A role change for Max would be a catastrophe for those that paid $944,000 for him expecting another 120+ average

If it were round 1 I would be totally freaking out right now.

But being a scratch match of 0 intensity (from the dees anyway) I'm content to chalk this one up as getting some experience into Jackson?

Dees forward line is attricious... but atleast the ball can get there every so often to prove its attracious.

With Gawn up forward the ball wouldn't even get there.

If you watched that game, they literally competed with a witches hat midfield. Then you have to subtract 35-40 possessions for Treloar - so say conservatively, all inside mids today lose around 8 possessions. Means less marks as well. Realistically, I think Macrae goes at around 115-120 today against a B grade side

And that is without Bevo doing stupid shit. Well he did put Dunks in the ruck a few times

The thing to bear in mind with Dunks is that he went 95+ last year despite a syndesmosis injury and having a shocking role. If you can go 95 with both those factors against you then safe to say that is his floor this year as Cotchy9 said above.

If his floor is 90-95 but his ceiling is 110-120 if the role is there, you could make the case he is actually a much safer pick than many are saying.

I am well and truly talking myself into this.
Bevo will probably drop him to the VFL when he tells him at the mid season break that he's talking with Ben Rutten again, petulent as Bevo is.
