BALMAINFOREVER vs ZEALBEE

The Honey Badger was at the mercy of Prawnographer's MNF selection last week and lucky enough that the team with 'Mr Clutch' wasn't selected by Prawnographer meaning the Cinderella chapter is done and dusted but it doesn't close the book on this fairytale as the CR stepsisters who are both outside the Top 40, go head to head in this second stanza of this enthralling ND lost fairytale. Zealbee tricked Manureid into believing he was invincible (read: Manureid overlooked the ND tie-breaker criteria) as the scored remained deadlocked (98) after both selected the 'Skins on MNF but to Manureid's astonishment, Zealbee had the winning formula of more winners (13-12) rather than highest winning CR.

Nothing much between them on the standings (5pts) however the significant difference being the experience and poise required by the Honey Badger to avoid defeat. This explains why one is #1 seed and the other is a wildcard. The Honey Badger once again survives a close shave last week to hold out his second Top 20 opponent in Prawnographer. On the flip side, Zealbee is 1-4 against Top 20 opponents, with last weeks tie-breaker over Manureid being his first scalp of the season.

Bottom line:
You can't deny the Honey Badger of finding new ways to avoid defeat whether it's last play TD, a 54 yard FG, fourth quarter comeback by teams with a losing record or a forced fumble in the last ten seconds of a game. Zealbee is bringing all he can, and even though he has scored a triple digit whereas the Honey Badger has not, it's how prepared Zealbee will be prepared in PrimeTime which will only bring down the Honey Badger. This will be close and the 6-1 record is too overwhelming to overlook in Balmain's favour.

GALACTIC vs TCOL

TCol clinched his eleventh play-off victory with a come from behind win against #3 seed, Broken, which allowed the 2011 ND champ to notch up his fifth close contest of the season decided by five points or fewer. On the flip side, Galactic was handed a free pass into the Divisional round thanx to a forfeit, an ND play-off first (boo, hiss) courtesy of Juggalo Balla not submitting his selections.

Galactic faces a tough task to reel in his SB nemesis, however the good news for Galactic that this NFL season hasn't been as a predictable campaign like previous seasons with many middle of the road teams still scrambling for a wildcard spot. With up to eight 50/50 games to chose from, Galactic has every chance to pin a double digit CR on such a winnable chance to try break TCol down before PrimeTime football arrives.

It's all in TCol's court now regards what he can muster up in establishing an early games lead which will shape this contest. Galactic is seemingly too far back to threaten for the CR so it's either going to be a considerable blow-out to TCol or Galactic can make TCol earn his twelfth ND play-off victory the hard way with torpedo double digit CR on some 50/50 contest plus the help of weekly upsets. Betting man says Tcol covers the line.

TOMATOSAUCELING vs STARLIN CASTRO

Starlin Castro surprised #4 seed Oscarman with a dramatic MNF turnaround after dropping points on the Colts (trailed 93-83) which seemed to condemn the newly crowned 3XKO Champ but Oscarman pulled the wrong trigger with his 11CR on the Redskins allowing the lone Bears fan to *snatch a tie-breaker win on CR countback.

Tomatosauceling just waited until his opponent, BeLikeMike imploded in primetime (with desperate measures selections) before 'Sauceling being declared the winner. Starlin Castro is in a favourable situation after TNF considering the pressure of expectation is all on the LCS 2012 champ who within striking distance of a CR glory. A barnstorming finish in 2012 saw tomatosauceling finish runners up to AE12 CR champion, Ac83.

The only thing in which 'Sauceling should be aware of is that Starlin Castro was humbled by Oscarman in their first meeting to the tune of 22 points back in week 6. Even though Starlin Castro has managed three victories since, it's always the way of not poking the sleeping Bear as the case was last week when he yawned and took a bite from Oscarman when he least excepted. Danger game but expect Tomatosauceling to take care of business.

NOBBYISCOOL vs SIMONOZ

Manhattan based simonoz is the surprise packet of the 2015 play-offs after his late lunge one point squeaker victory last week over #5 seed, Gengar28. Tied up 44-44 early but giving up 6pts in the late games, but it was just a matter of how calculating the Aussie ex-pat was from far with just enough CR to spare, in taking a chance on the Romoless Cowboys to clinch victory.

Entrenched in the Top TEN, Nobbyiscool, continues to remain calm despite the 1-4 record in close contests,
the sustained consistency in the slithering up the CR standings in recent weeks has earned him favouritism in this contest with a manageable ten points to peg back after TNF. nobbyiscool vs Top20 current opponents is 0-2 whilst SimonOz's victory over Gengar28 (19th) gave him his first Top 20 scalp.

The word on the streets in downtown Manhattan is that SimonOz has a big chance in pulling off a upset here which is aided by a handy 10 point TNF headstart but you can't write off the unassuming NIC just yet as he earns the favouritism based on his resilience. Of the six wins by double digits including last weeks 99-86 bump n' grind triumph over Striker475, NIC has been inadequate on most of those TNF games, so this setback shouldn't hinder him.

ILUVPARIS vs 11SJW

The Billy 'Whiteshoes' Johnson Divisional opponents meet again with the pressure all on the CR leader, 11sjw, to not only avenge his week 8 loss but hold onto the lead at the top. It's a delicate six point buffer for @11sjw who will be duly tested this weekend. iluvparis is just seven points shy of a Top Ten berth.

iLuvParis was all over EagleOz after the early games with a 30+ lead in which the #2 seed didn't relent and kept the scoreboard kicking over to clip the wings of wildcard Eagleoz with a cruisey 15 point win.
11sjw needed to sweat it out abit against Chism as two close results swung momentum away from #1 seed before SNF arrived.

Prime time games looks certain to decide this enthralling contest as ILuvParis and 11sjw are neck n' neck with 150-151 points scored on SNF-MNF. The #2 seed will not be daunted by 11sjw's higher CR standing as well as the additional nine picks correct. With already the Whiteshoes Division title banked, expect iLuvParis to throw down the gauntlet and hold out the CR leader in a thriller diller as the marquee match up of the Divisional round certain to live up to a bloodied dogfight.

PETERBUCH74 vs SHOWBAG

The 2011 CR champ has peddled out the mind games early, declaring to Showbag that he is firmly in the 'Hot Seat' now after TNF's four point adv. In the meantime, Showbag notched up his third triple digit score of the season last week, making it his fifth winning result by over 10. (Cop that PB74)

peterbuch74 held out wildcard Leezorr (93-89) to bring up win number FIVE in close contests. It's shaping to be an intriguing contest here with chopstick jabs and perhaps the chopstick sword fight set to break out in the heart of Tigerland. PB74 rarely falls behind like he did last week, fighting back to snatch victory in Prime Time. Expect this to go the distance as Showbag is amongst the few play-off campaigners to have banked the most points in PrimeTime (170 / 2nd to Tomatosauceling).
Last week Showbag brought his A-game to pull the plug from the #4 seed, A11datp0w3r with an impressive fightback causing one of the better upsets in the first round of the play-offs.

The last time PB74 clinched an ND Division (2009), he also made his SB II run but fell agonisingly short by three points (vs Reacher). PB74 is better prepared this campaign, having proven ha has the poise and execution required when it ALL goes down to the wire as I can expect this contest to be decided sometime mid afternoon Tuesday despite Showbag playing down his expection as a mere 'Battler'… PB74 isn't falling for that, No sireee… PB74 will advance because Showbag played his SB last week.

STATSMAN74 vs BoKNOWS34

Statsman74 ought to be weary of the alarming statistic which says he is yet to defeat a Raider fan in five previous attempts. BoKnows34 is already 2-0 up over Steeler fans. A strong start (15-1) after TNF by BoKnows34 was the catalyst in breaking out to any early lead of 23pts (56-33) but Rasko wasn't done yet, to pull back after the late games, take the lead after SNF which put BoKnows34 in an awkward spot with just faith in the Cowboys on the road who hadn't won this season without Tony Romo behind centre. Thanx to Mr Clutch (Dan Bailey) and the boneheaded play by DeSean Jackson, BoKnows34 was able to capitalise on his 13CR to outscore Raskolnikov by five points.

Meanwhile statsman74 was fortunate WADW literally snoozed away his opportunity on MNF as the difference was just 7 (101-94) with WADW having 8CR left idling on the Redskins when the kick-off snuffed out WADW hopes. Statsman74 selected incorrectly with his 9CR. Boknows34 has already beaten Statsman74 this season meaning fear isn't a issue for the Raider fan who can put the pressure right on the #5 seed.

Last season, GeeCats07 and Manureid, made Raider Nation proud but no AE promised land eventuated. BoKnows34 has a perfect record where it counts, in close and tight. Statsman74 isn't one to discuss such matters as tie breakers don't help him from the past. statsman74 has all the momentum now, to not only seize this opportunity in breaking his Raider fan hex along with redemption for week 7 but also consolidating a Top Ten finish for the 5th seed. BoKnows34 will need a triple digit score to stay competitive which is where the expectation could become overwhelming since BoKnows34 crumbled in the regular season finale (lost to larkis) in trying to clinch the Kenny Stabler Division.

SMITHS vs PEDGE7

Both claimed upset victories last week over their respective opponents after trailing early. Pedge is 5-3 against opponents in the Top20 whilst smiths still attains his status as a DZE survivor, having claimed the Ripcord Bowl IV title in a tie-breaker against Double Crown champ, Superfreak last season.

Smiths held on to clinch his third tight victory of the season against the 2013 CR champ, Crowman23, following the Cowboys gritty win on MNF making it 2-0 against the Pats fan. Smiths entered the 2014 play-offs as #2 seed but was edged out by 3 points to eventual champion, Superfreak. With a second consecutive Division title under Smiths belt, the mission is straight forward.. go deep and never surrender. Pedge hit BIG on his second TNF game from the last five weeks which TNF hasn't been a strength of Smith, having registered the lowest totals (54) from the rest of the ND play-off competitors.

Smiths has won the last two meetings but will need to find a way to overcome the deficit of eight points after TNF which he hasn't loaded up BIG often on prime time games. Pedge7 is 2-1 when securing double digit CR on TNF meaning Pedge isn't safe just yet. Both have equal records in close contests which indicated a down to the wire finish, a tie-breaker perhaps? Too close to call but an early eight point buffer lead is something I'll bank on for Pedge to test the defending Ripcord champ.
