Great watching the Knight Riders vs the Chargers. Pitch was bowler assisted without a doubt and made for a far more exciting contest from a traditionalist point of view compared to the slogathons we normally see.

That said, I dont expect a pitch anywhere near that bad to be served up again this tournament.

First full match i watched.:thumbsu:

Haven't seen a full match yet. Seen the start of matches then woken up with the match over. Will try to watch a full one tonight. Last night I was awake to see the terrible pitch where VVS got hit on the hand, and the bowlers weren't having to do anything to bowl well and snare wickets.

All the Saffie players bar Morne and Albie Morkel should be there in the next few days. The Morkels play their domestic T20 final on Friday so they should be there next week.

Windies players are already there, bar Gayle who has a groin injury and is out for two weeks. Pakistani players + Abdur Razzak from Bangladesh all arrive in the next few days as well after their international duties. Then all the Aussies leave at the start of May i think

I think Steyn has to stay back with the Morkels as well. Kallis and Boucher are already there and probably almost got their team over the line. Pollock is there and was even more economical than McGrath. A lot of Pakistanis arrive in the next few days.

Anyone know what happened to that poor bastard that was sconed in the face by a Jayasuria cut shot over slip?

Ball flew like a shot out of a gun... one bounce and hit them right in the face. Nearly as dangerous as D'arcy's right hand.

Dissapointed they didn't show a good replay of that, certainly went down like a sack...
Maybe they will give him some swimming tickets to Beijing :p

Greg Chappell was terrible at the toss!

LOL looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights.
Simon O'Donnell even could've done a better job - well ok, maybe that's debateable.
Warnie taking a 3'fer there, Watson struggling, Boof Lehmann dropping one of the biggest howlers ever, the Royals' fielding was poor and the Whatchamacallit XI getting 8/166.
I see Sreesanth was up to his usual tricks of being a complete twonk and won't figure too highly in the Kingfisher Fair Player Award tonight.

See the Rajasthan bowler to took a wicket, then celebrated like Sreesanth by shaking his chest? It was cringeworthy that someone could look up to him for celebrations.

But yeah, how good was Warney bowling! He and Pigeon could still be playing AND dominating in international cricket today.

That Rajasthan bloke you're talking of won a reality TV show and got to play a year with Leicestershire's 2nd XI. And to be fair, if I won a TV show and then got Jayawardene out, I'd bare my arse on international television.
