Might not be as dumb as it sounds actually. Gilly is probably winding down his ODI career maybe he might prolong it if he is down the order so he can have a rest if we bowl first.

I rate Watson but I'd prefer nowhere. Given that the selectors want him in the side, I'd rather see him open or bat at #4 than at #7. If the only spot in the side for him is at #7, then don't play him.

If NZ do what they did last match they'll chase it down, all because Hayden batting so slowly for the first part.
400 would have given us a much better chance at winning but Hayden had to bat for himself early on.
Thankfully Tait has struck early and it doesn't look like they'll chase it, saving Hayden some blushes.

I have to admit I'm losing a bit of faith in Mitch Johnson. He's been slapped a few times now, but time is on his side.
Watson seriously though, yeh fair effort to get 68 but look at the attack he's facing, that is about the equivalent of Bangladesh' attack.

Is Shane Watson is the most overated sportsperson in the history of sport? Or is it only the Australian Selectors think that he has any talent whatsoever?
Australia won't win the world cup with this absolute dud in the team. Never seen a cricketer strut around a cricket field, thinking the sun shines out of his a$s as much as this bloke.
Is it too late to change our world cup squad and get rid of him!
I think all Australian Cricket Lovers should join in the chorus and start an Australian wide campaign to oust this pretender!
