How have the AFL managed to f up the holding the ball rule so badly?!

Carmichael nails a bloke trying to bust through in a tackle, he does a 360 and just drops it. Play on.

More so been watching the umps be right in the running lanes of players multiple times

Suns academy players next year are gonna be another big talking point.

Addinsall, Uwland and Patterson will likely be in the first round
After being quiet for about a decade the QLD Academies are really starting to shine.

Really noticeable that AFL is making big in roads up in QLD.

Increasing the draft pool is great for the comp

I know it won't make some shut up, but from next year everyone will be paying a much fairer price for academy and father sons.

It really shouldn't matter much who gets access to what if teams are paying a fair price.

I do wonder if Swans might try a sneaky and try to grab back that Tweed Heads area from the Suns.

Hahaha no chance you would think.

Chamberlain has been prolific in the connector role for Team Heppell in the third

That kick straight to the player in the goal square as I read this 🤦‍♂️

Probably been one of the worst of the futures I have watched.

Great if you need run and carry but hardly any defensive work there.

Chamberlain had a very good third qtr - 6/7 possies minimum and was in 4-5 scoring chains.

Carmichael again didn't put a foot wrong with ball in hand

Chamberlain looks the goods

Found the King injury from September 7.

53:50

King takes a huge grab and takes a hard fall and hits his head, but walked off.

Legit no.1 pick prospect in 2025 I think.

RMC notes from last Saturday’s Futures game

Lachlan Carmichael (Swans Academy/NSW-ACT)
Defender | 183cm | 27/08/2007

Stats:
18 disposals, 8 marks, 5 rebound 50s

Carmichael has played to such a high level in defence this year that it was no surprise to see him show his quality once again on Saturday. He got involved early with a brave intercept mark, but went on to impress most when attacking. Carmichael’s timing and smarts allowed him to peel off and get into space to be a quick outlet on turnover, resulting in 15 uncontested possessions. His work rate and positioning off the contest were essential to such numbers as he helped set up the play in transition.

Noah Chamberlain (Swans Academy/NSW-ACT)
Forward | 192cm | 21/03/2007

Stats:
12 disposals, 7 marks, 4 inside 50s

Chamberlain was a key connection piece for Team Heppell up forward. The versatile Swans Academy talent initially found it difficult to build separation on the lead but got going with eight touches and four marks in the third quarter, thriving off his side’s quick ball movement from end-to-end. He failed to convert his influence to scoreboard impact, but showed strong potential in said purple patch.
