I was at the game and have just watched it again on the box.
It's a little hard to know whether it was just melbourne making us look good, but our midfield set ups appeared far more efficient yesterday, with players streaming through a pack to receive the tap and clear the congestion, rather than just being reactive and flat footed.
Our forward entries also seemed vastly improved, seeking out leads and specific one on ones rather than the long bombs. A lack of pressure on the inside 50's may have been an element here though.
Incredibly pleasing to see our young brigade stepping up as well.
The real test is next week however. Not necessarily expecting a win, but if we stay within 20 points it'll be almost as good as.
