As much as I love Dave Hughes, I still will NOT watch The Footy Show and those bunch of buffoons on the panel!

When you think about it, it's not really a football show at all, other than for the fact it carries some current and some ex footballers.

Given we know the teams well before an 8.30 airing of the program, what's left to watch?
genuine football discussion disappeared years ago and now we're left at laughing at old mens nuts? Spare me...........

Completely agree. That show has nothing to offer.

Spot on Harks and I stopped watching many many years ago.

It had well and truly passed its use-by date before Eddie left.

Mightn't hurt to get an actual comedian back on the panel - lacking since Trevor Marmalade exited.

I would have preferred Channel 10 reboot Before The Game, but hey. Dave seems to have severed ties with Rove's team viz. The Project.

LOVED BTG and sad to see it axed.

Don't know all of their names but some of the hosts of Marngrook honestly don't seem that knowledgeable of a lot of teams, don't rate that show either.

Take the sexist, demeaning comments out of it along with the s******ing blokiness and pathetic in-jokes and there's not a whole lot left.
It literally makes me squirm. And yet there they are, a bunch of talentless buffoons embarrassing themselves each week, adored by tens of thousands and raking in big bucks. Never underestimate Boganville.

That there is what is truly squirmworthy - not only the fact that the show is still in existence (after 20 years no less), but the fact that they still command a large enough audience to keep it in existence.

Meanwhile shows like BTG get axed. (Too many Carlton people on it methinks... ;))

Aww that's a bit harsh JR40. He is a TV personality and that's how he makes his living. If the moneyis there we can't hold it against him, particularly considering he has been quite involved in footy-related media.

Big money too. In a profession like his you take it when its there. With both hands in catchers mitts.
