Former Hawk Ben Dixon has joined the coaching panel at Newcastle Knights NRL club to assist the players improve their field kicking.

I like the idea of codes using coaches from different sports, I recall Freo hired a former Mens Hockey coach several years ago (can't remember his name)

Charlesworth has a amazing resume

Doctor, State cricketer, olympic hockey player, olympic hockey coach (mens and womens) and as mentioned spent time at the dockers.

I believe his two sons may have also played hockey in the olympics.

That's my team, I saw that a couple of days ago. Don't know whether or not it will help but why not.

Imagine how far he'd have got if he was driven ......

He was also federal member for perth for about 8 years, but left because hawkie never made him a Minister ... Perhaps being a Treausrer may have inspired him

... Still represented Australia in Olympic hockey while also a politician

Freakish talent

Dyson Heppell re-signs at Essendon* for five years, absolute jet, one of the very few players at that club (along with Jobe) I actually respect, actually changed his game for the better, no longer the cheap kick chasing seagull he was in his first couple of years in the league ..
